Across street fr CH West Train Station, conn to Center City & West Phila (U Penn, Drexel U) and Phila Int'l Airport; 7 min walk to CH East Station, conn to Temple U, CC; 3 min walk to bus stop for L, 23 routes; 1/2 bl to Germantown Ave: shops, galleries, restaurants; Woodmere Art Museum, CH Hosp; 5-10 min to Chestnut Hill Coll, Morris Arboretum; 2 bl fr Fairmount Park trails @ Wissahickon Creek. Generous room has a sitting/work area w/couch, table, and chairs, as well as double bed, two night stands, full-size dresser and 6 lineal ft of hanging space in closet. Two stands for luggage. Three windows for ample natural light, and ventilation w/fresh air is great when AC is not needed. Entry through front door and living room. Private 3rd flr bedroom w/private bath. Light breakfast available until 10:00AM, with use of toaster and micro-wave ovens only, and access out to brick-paved terrace and garden at that time. No kitchen use at other times, sorry. I both live and work (2nd floor office) in my house, so I'm generally here to help you with questions about destinations, activities, community events, or whatever else you might want to know about. Chestnut Hill is a National Register Historic District set w/in the beautiful natural environment around Wissahickon Creek. House is one-half block from Germantown Avenue, one of the top five streets in Philadelphia, and 2-3 blocks from hiking trails in Fairmount Park. Commuter train is across the street, bus one block away. Parking on my block is metered (2-hour limit) 8AM-6PM Mon-Sat, but no restrictions other hours or Sunday. Parking on next block and around the corner is unrestricted at all times. Washer and dryer in basement are available whenever needed.
