New to the market in 2019, Lily's Cottage is a stone-built cottage which lies in Weardale, Co. Durham. Newly renovated, it has 2 comfortable bedrooms, a luxury fully equipped kitchen and a cosy lounge. St John's Chapel has 2 pubs, 2 cafes, a shop and post office and the bigger town of Stanhope is nearby. Weardale is very popular with cyclists, hikers and anyone who enjoys peace & quiet and the great outdoors, Well behaved dogs are welcome (max 2). The delightful lounge has been newly decorated in warm colours whilst the kitchen is modern and is fully equipped with everything a guest is likely to need. The outside space offers comfortable seating and is somewhat of a sun trap during the warmer months. There is a CAMRA pub just two doors away, where you are always guaranteed a warm Weardale welcome. Dogs are welcome (max 2) but please note there is no enclosed outdoor space. We are both retired and can hence offer personal advice, airport/station pick ups or onward transport of luggage for cyclists and walkers. The cottage lies on the popular coast to coast cycle route. Lily's Cottage is an ideal base for either the Great North Run or the Coast to Coast (C2C) cycle route. Guests have the whole cottage to themselves as well as use of the cycle store and outdoor seating area We live just a mile from Lily’s Cottage and we are available by email or phone if guests have any queries or issues. The village of St John’s Chapel has two pubs (one is only two doors down from the cottage), a fantastic cafes, a well-stocked Co-op, a post office and antique shop to poke around in (opening hours can be flaky) The postcode brings you straight to the property.
