This beautiful farmhouse is spacious, peaceful and full of preserved history. The home retains the original windows, heart pine floors and beadboard ceilings while also providing modern amenities. The garden is an evolving project and our focus is bird and butterfly habitat. We are located in the small town of Ft. Gibson, directly across from the Fort Gibson Historic Site. The city park is nearby and offers a boat ramp and a nice place to walk or picnic. We are 10 min. from Muskogee. All bedrooms and two full baths are located upstairs. The half bath is downstairs. We have lots of room for parking, our driveway and adjacent side yard can easily accommodate a boat trailer. If you are interested in the restoration of the house, the development of the garden or the history of the area, we love to talk about it! Just let us know. This home is located in a small town neighborhood with normal weekday traffic sounds. We have good neighbors on three sides and the national historic site is located directly in front of the house. Please note that we are located near a railroad crossing and we do hear an occasional train whistle. We have lots of driveway parking.
