This historical guest suite is within a house built in 1813, and is just a few blocks from the many shops and restaurants for which Lititz is known. The guest suite has its own entrance. The space consists of a bedroom with a queen bed, a bathroom with corner shower and built in cabinetry, and an efficiency kitchen (mini refrigerator with freezer, sink, counter top area, cabinets, toaster, Keurig, and table for two). The apartment, while private, is within our primary residence. We provide space for our guests, and do not plan to interrupt. That said, if we can be of assistance to answer questions or address any concerns we are certainly willing to do so, and will make ourselves available. We have lived in this town most of our lives and are very familiar with the town and the surrounding area. We enjoy providing local food and entertainment recommendations, and guests should feel free to reach out to us for suggestions as desired. My wife and I both work full time jobs, and we, along with our two boys, are quite active. We do our best to minimize noise in the house, but please understand that you will hear some household noises during your stay. If you can tolerate some "normal family noises," we are confident you will find our guest suite to be a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Lititz was voted the "Coolest Small Town in America" in 2013, and it has been living up to this title ever since. We are 0.4 miles, or a seven minute walk, from the center of Lititz. This walk will take you past multiple shops and restaurants. Lititz is a quaint town with many shops, restaurants, and parks. The Lititz Springs Park is a few blocks away, and is a great place to watch or feed the ducks, walk along the Lititz Run stream, or eat a picnic lunch. Lititz has many events throughout the year, including art shows, craft shows, beer festivals, and even a Fire and Ice festival in the winter. In Lititz you can take a quiet walk through town, enjoy a walk or bike ride through the surrounding farmland on our beautiful rail trail, partake in an evening of fine dining, shop at one of our many unique stores, grab a quality craft beer at one of the multiple microbreweries and bars, or just spend a couple hours sitting on a park bench and reading. If you are here for a few days and/or want to explore the surrounding area, we are an easy drive to Lancaster City, Pennsylvania Dutch Country, and Hershey Park and Chocolate World. If you stay with us we are confident you will enjoy our "cool small town." When visiting the town of Lititz, it's probably simplest to leave your car parked in the free parking at the guest house and walk the few blocks to the center of town. If walking a few blocks is not an option for you, we recommend parking on Main Street or one of the several streets that cross Main Street within a block or two of the center of town. Unless there is a major event taking place, street parking is largely available and is mostly metered. Please note that there is a strict no smoking policy for the guest suite and includes no smoking on the property. Any violation of this rule will result in forfeiture of your security deposit and are grounds for being required to leave prior to the completion of your reservation. We want to maintain a safe and comfortable space for future guests and also our children and ourselves, and this space is part of our house. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
