River Views in the Heart of Town

This beautiful 1960s family home is a short five minute walk from local cafes, restaurants, parks and shopping facilities. Take an evening stroll across the longest suspension bridge in Australia and view the gorgeous night lights. Or, simply watch the beautiful colours reflect off the Avon River from one of the two front patios while you enjoy a hot cuppa. With three bedrooms, this home can sleep up to seven guests. There are two double beds and three single beds. Each bedroom has a pedestal fan and radiator heater available. There is plenty of cupboard and hanging space for clothes in the two main bedrooms. The kitchen includes everyday appliances as well as a coffee pod machine and a huge electric oven. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are provided, as well as a complimentary welcome basket for you to enjoy while you gaze upon the Avon River. The bathroom will take you back in time with its retro design. Relax in the funky green bathtub and admire the painted artwork on the shower screen. Towels, wash cloths, body wash, shampoo and conditioner are all provided. The cosy living room offers a reverse cycle A/C and an electric fire place. There is a wide selection of DVDs to enjoy on the smart TV, and a variety of board games to play with the family. The large laundry includes a top loader washing machine with access to the spacious backyard and clothesline. There is an ironing board and iron in the laundry cupboard, as well as washing powder and stain remover. Need to do some work while you're here? We've got you covered. Simply bring along your laptop and set up at the work desk. You can also close the concertina doors if you need that extra bit of privacy. There are two driveways and you may park your car/s in either of them. If you would like to park undercover, let us know before you arrive and we can open the gates to the left of the house. The gates to the right of the house can also be opened if you would like to park in the backyard. Please note that there is no covered parking on this side of the property. There are steps leading up to both the patios and the entrance to the house. Please use the doors on the right patio when entering the house. The left doors are marked with a 'no entry' sign. You can access the backyard through the side gates or from the laundry. There are also steps from the laundry to the backyard. This home is not wheel chair friendly. Located on the Avon River, this home is a short walk to the centre of town. There are playgrounds and parks nearby, as well as the town’s swan enclosure. The longest suspension bridge in Australia is only 50m down the road and you can see it’s beautiful night lights from the front patios. Take some scraps across the road and feed the local ducks and birds from the river bank or take a nice stroll around the river itself. If you are wanting to explore the main street of Northam, walking is the best way to get around. There is free parallel parking along the main street and free parking at the main shopping complexes and some cafes and pubs. There is also a taxi service that runs until late.
