A detached and unique retreat style cabin on the edge of the Cotswolds for one or two people. Bright, open plan layout with fridge, microwave and continental breakfast facilities. Perfect for relaxing with a hot coffee or chilled glass of wine. Beautiful countryside all around for walking. Local Butcher, baker, newsagent and pubs all within easy reach. Secure key drop and pick up. 1 parking space available directly to Studio. The space is ideal for one or two people who want a base whilst exploring the area. It is warm and cosy with electric radiators and additional heater if needed. The floor is natural stone so you may want to bring your slippers. There is off road parking on the drive for one car next to my White Fiat. Busses unfortunately are not super active but there is a bus to Banbury and back every day and also to Shipston, which you can then get to Stratford Upon Avon from. Local taxi's are few and far but I can give you numbers should you need so that you can pre-book. Please just message me at the time. The numbers are also in the guest information. Can always be reached by mobile Upper Brailes is on the side of Brailes Hill, which is the 2nd highest point in Warwickshire so we get pretty good views all around. We are 3 miles east of Shipston on Stour and sit on the Warwickshire/Oxfordshire border. There is a pub 'The George' in the village, good food and sometimes weekend music. Also a butchers, newsagent and bakery. A village hall, a playing field, 2 churches (Church of England and also a Catholic Church that is part of an old house). Walking is fabulous as footpaths everywhere and you can never get lost if you use Brailes Hill as a guide. Local golf club (Feldon Valley) is a mile away. Whichford Pottery, Cotswold distillery, Chipping Campden, Moreton in the Marsh, Batsford Arboretum, Stow on the Wold, Fosseway garden centre, Stratford upon Avon (for theatre, river walk, boating, shopping) and Warwick Castle are all pretty close to visit; as is Oxford, you can leave car at Pear Tree roundabout and park and ride into town. Parking on the drive for one car will be available at Myrtle Cottage. Bikes are great for getting around, there is a bike hire place in Moreton in Marsh (10 miles) or for one person, please borrow mine as it could do with a run.... Many places accessible on foot. Taxi's are not flush around here but let us know as we might be able to help? There is a bus service but ideally you will need to look up as it seems to be changing lately. There are 4 steps down from the parking area and as you go through your own entrance (Blue gate with heart in at side of cottage) there is another small step down. The courtyard/patio part is yours and is private and is great for the evening sun.
