Queen size bed in the bedroom easily sleeps two and a comfortable sofa bed (probably best suited for one adult or two children) in the living room. Namregne Studios is located in the heart of historic Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. For history buffs - within 5-10 minutes you can walk to one of two historic churches that were integral to the lives of the people who lived and worked in Charlotte Amalie for centuries; or you can walk to the oldest structure in the Virgin Islands - Fort Christian; or, if you're feeling up to the challenge, take a 10 minute walk to the bottom of historic 99 steps - a fantastically preserved example of the historic Danish West Indies "step streets"; or, walk 10 minutes (uphill!) to the famous Blackbeard's Castle, reputed home of the pirate Blackbeard! If you prefer to shop 'til you drop, Charlotte Amalie's famous duty-free Main Street is also a 5-minute walk away. There you can find lots of sparkling jewels, elegant timepieces, clothing stores, and souvenirs. And, when you're hungry there's lots of places to grab a yummy bite to eat. For those who want to enjoy our beautiful beaches, there are several wonderful beaches within a 15-minute drive in several directions. If you're heading out of town to go sightseeing or to the beach or nearby St. John, you definitely need a taxi. As in most urban areas, parking is a premium in the neighborhood surrounding Namregne Studios. If you rent a car while visiting, be forewarned that the streets in the neighborhood are very narrow and you'll likely be parking on a narrow, steep hill. If you'd rather take a taxi, we can get you the number of a reliable taxi driver with whom you can arrange drop offs and pick ups easily.
