Blackberry Bothy…. (a small hut or cottage)

Blackberry Bothy is a Tardis style extension, attached to the main house but with a private entrance. Parking is spacious and off road. There is a large garden to explore in good weather and plenty of walking in the area. Greenock is only 5 miles away for shops and amenities or catch the Ferry to Argyll or many of the Islands including Bute and Arran. Plus 45 minutes from Glasgow on the train The Bothy is less than a mile from the River Clyde and great beaches for Mudlarking We are normally floating about somewhere. Inverkip is about 1 hour from Glasgow City Centre by car. Traffic dependant, as the M8 can get very busy at rush hour. Please ask for advice as to where it is best to park in Glasgow. Inverkip has a main line railway station to Glasgow Central Station. There is parking at Inverkip railway station. Local taxis are always available. Bus (901) coming in to the village to Largs, Gourock, Greenock and Glasgow, are approximately every hour Although we are in the countryside, we are not far from the town of Greenock, Gourock, Largs and then the big town of Glasgow Most places are best reached by car but there are trains, buses and taxis. Inverkip is not too far from 4 ferry crossings to Dunoon, Isle of Bute, Cumbrae and Arran. A car is preferable on the islands, as buses can be limited.
