Or a short trip to Bangalee where you can use your 4-wheel drive to access many km's of sandy white beaches. Nearby Keppel Bay Marina offers great dining choices and a variety of boating options to explore the amazing Keppel islands both above and below the water. The friendly coastal town of Yeppoon is a 2 minute drive away and offers everything a holiday maker would wish for. This includes a variety of entertaining options from cocktail and wine bars through to casual takeaway and fine dining . It is also a shoppers delight with many stylish and trendy boutiques and shops. For those preferring not to swim in the sea, you can also visit the famous Yeppoon Lagoon. If you fancy a more challenging walk , try Bluff Point walking track on Kemp Hill a few minutes drive away and try to spot a turtle or two. Try a drive inland into Byfield National Park 40+kms away. This is the gateway to Upper Stoney Creek for a cool dip in the natural fresh water pools ( unsealed road) or to Five Rocks beach for the 4-wheel drive enthusiast. Ample parking off road at the property for 2-3 vehicles. A nearby bus stop 100m from the property services Yeppoon, Emu Park and Rockhampton (Youngs bus service) Ferries to Great Keppel and surrounding islands is 2 minutes drive away at Keppel Bay Marina. Taxis are available locally. Please note that due to the external stairs, low set windows and a road between the Shack and the beach, you will need to keep an eye on any children staying at the Shack to ensure their safety. Due to Lammermoor Beach being a popular Capricorn Coast destination, the Scenic Highway can be busy at times and there can be some road noise.
