Large roomed, recently renovated one bed home set within a small, friendly village on the outskirts of Durham City. Plenty of free parking outside, huge views over miles of countryside from the peaceful, private garden. Comprises of an entrance porch, sitting room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom & bathroom. Outside is a securely fenced off lawned garden edged with flower borders & several paved seating areas. Well behaved dogs are welcome to stay. Despite being rural, Durham City is minutes away. Despite being a one bedroom home the rooms are very spacious, with high ceilings. The kitchen is probably the smallest room, but is highly functional. There is the added bonus of a dining room which gives fantastic views of the private garden and beyond. There is plenty of parking in the village, and great access to lots of local walks from the village. Simply strolling round the large village green and taking in the duck pond and listed village hall is charming enough on its own. The local town of Spennymoor is 2.8 miles away and contains all you would need in the way of shops, restaurants, pubs, cafes, takeaways and amenities. Then of course there is Durham City itself (4.9 miles) which has plenty more to offer. All the houses are set round a large village green. It still retains it's duck pond (with resident geese and ducks) and quirky but vibrant village Hall (a listed Nissen hut). The nearest bus stop is by The Coach and Horses Pub, which is a 1 mile walk using the road or half that on the well worn public right of way across the fields.
