You're looking at a family living situation. This is one of two guest rooms in a wing off the living room. Your private room has a large comfy King Bed and huge closet. There is a wall-mount smart TV. You have your own new bathroom. We specialize in longer term 1-6 months stays. Guests rave about our warm, friendly home and the beautiful neighborhood and back yard. You will have a private room with either a King or Queen bed, and a private bath. Enjoy a cozy fire in the cool weather, and our azalea filled patio in the spring and summer. As we mature as airbnb hosts, we find that we are best suited for longer term guests (2 weeks +). This is a perfect place to stay for doing medical rotations, or training at Sallus, or doing an internship, or to stay while you find a more permanent home to buy or rent. You are welcome to use the kitchen and laundry facilities. We have a guest refrigerator and plenty of pantry space. If you prefer, you can chip in for groceries and share food with us. Rory loves to cook. Currently, it costs $75.00 per person per week. Rory does the shopping and much of the cooking. You tell us what you would like to have in the house and we will buy it. (This does not include snacks and treats, you are on your own for that.) This is an active home. Though the guest area is private, the public areas are where we live, eat and play. We have a lot of guests and you are likely to walk in on a people playing music and waltzing in the kitchen, especially when our daughter and her friends are here. If you are looking for a pristine hotel-like environment, this is not the place for you. It's clean, but lived in. CoVId notes: The guest area is private and during CoVid we will only be accepting one reservation at a time. The wing has its own heating and cooling system. The rest of the house is shared with us, so we will negotiate using the kitchen and dining area safely. We have 2 exceptionally friendly and cool cats. We no longer accept guest pets. Leave your car with us and take a quick 20 minute train ride to the heart of the city. We are also on a direct train route to the airport ( 50 minutes). One hour drive to Amish country, or to the wineries and antique shops of New Hope. Guests have access to the living room, dining room and kitchen as well as the outdoor patio for relaxing in nice weather. Laundry facilities are also available. If we are home, we interact a lot with our guests. Many become like family. We eat together, enjoy a drink in the evening, play games or music, or go on adventures. The guests that are happiest here are community minded, flexible, play well with others and are self-sufficient. This is a quiet, residential and wooded neighborhood. You can walk to the train, to a pizza shop and a coffee shop in about 10 minutes, several parks and churches, but real shopping and restaurants are about 1 - 2 miles away. Uber is quick and about $5 to grocery and other shopping. We are a 10 minute walk from the Septa train line that runs into center city philadelphia. Train takes about 20 minutes and costs $10-12 round trip.
