Stylish vineyard-stay in the Yarra Valley Region

Shaws Road B&B is set in an idyllic setting 45 minutes from Melbourne. This is one of two self-contained one-bedroom luxury apartments with private entrance, on the first floor of the farmhouse. A hamper of breakfast items is provided together with a complimentary bottle of our estate wine. There are panoramic views of vineyards, nearby farms and the distant Kinglake Ranges. Only 15 minutes drive to the world famous Yarra Valley wineries, eateries and the Chocolaterie. Great cafes nearby too! Suitable for couples or a single who want to relax, indulge and enjoy time away from cares. Soak in the clawfoot bath while sipping wine, or watch the sunset go down while relaxing on the private balcony with an aperitif. The library is stocked with books. There is a separate sitting room with a kitchenette. The magnificent en-suite bathroom has luxurious Salus products. Sadly this apartment and our farm is not suitable for children over 18 months. Additionally our animals consider this their territory, and we therefore cannot accommodate your pets. There is plenty of on-site parking. There is also a laundry available for guests to use. On arrival you will be greeted by our gentle dogs and free range chickens. Your entry is via magnificent iron gates to the vineyard, and a key in a lockbox for access to the farmhouse. Your apartment is at the top of a private staircase so you can come and go with complete privacy. We live in a separate wing of the farmhouse will respect your privacy at all times, but are on hand if you require our help if there are any issues. We are only minutes away from the unique rural communities of St Andrews and Hurstbridge, both of which have great coffee shops, bakeries, wine bars and restaurants. The famous St Andrews market is held every Saturday morning and is only 5 minutes drive away, so stock up on delicious food there and also at the St Andrews Barker with its own wood-fired oven. We are on a farm and the only way to get here is by car. There is a lot of wildlife in our beautiful countryside, so be careful driving at dusk and dawn when the kangaroos are likely to jump across the road. Trains into the city of Melbourne are from Hurstbridge, a 10 minute drive from here, and the journey takes around 15-60 minutes. We are a one hour drive from the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport. We have two adjoining apartments and it is possible for both apartments to be booked at the same time and integrated into one large suite for two couples. By booking out the entire top floor of the farmhouse you will also receive a free wine tasting of our estate wines conducted by the Winemaker, and a tour of the winery / production area / cellars.
