Waterfront cottage in Plockton

The Pink House lies at a quiet end of the village with a mature and colourful garden that runs down to the sea shore. Plockton is a beautiful coastal conservation village in the West Highlands of Scotland. The owners restrict access to the bunk room above the kitchen (because the stairs are steep) and a small cupboard below the stairs There is an excellent and friendly network of people who can help should anything go wrong and we are always here to help answer any questions whether it be how to change the timings on the water heater or where to buy locally caught prawns The Pink House is an ideal base for the outdoor enthusiast: sailing, kayaking, walking and beach picnics are all very popular here. There are moorings available locally and way-marked walks direct from the cottage. The Cuillin Hills on Skye are 40 minutes drive away. Seal trips depart from the pier just a 2 minute walk from the house. Plockton rail station (10 mins) sits on the Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh train line and has regular services. Sleeper services run to Fort William and Inverness. The nearest commercial airport is in Inverness (90 mins). We are always upgrading and refurbishing the cottage during the winter and so work continues. The furniture is all comfortable but some items are a little dated and are being replaced. The bed in the small room (see layout) would not suit anyone taller than 5'7.
