Arrochar Annex: Cobbler views; 1 hour from Glasgow

This self contained Annex is situated in the picturesque village of Arrochar, on the banks of Loch Long, with stunning views of the "Cobbler" amidst the Arrochar Alps. It is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and those wishing to experience the Scottish Highlands, whilst within easy reach of Glasgow and Stirling. The mature gardens have extensive bird life, with red squirrels and deer visitors. The village has good train and bus connections and a couple of lovely old local pubs. The guest house comprises of one bedroom (with a King size bed and 200 thread count Egyptian Cotton bedding), a shower-room/ toilet (with a walk in shower) and a living room and kitchen area (with small sofa bed, dining table, flat screen TV, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and toaster). Outdoor seating area to enjoy the sunset views over the loch. Chiminea and logs are also available. We are on the banks of Loch Long with easy access to the water for kayaks and paddle-boards. We are also just 1.5 miles from Loch Lomond. There is strong Wi-Fi and a work desk available. Onsite parking. Access to washing machine, drier and iron on request. The Annex is attached to our main residence. Please check with hosts regarding which areas of the garden are available for guests. Outdoor seating area with views over the loch and mountains. Use of the front lawn and wooded area. We live on-site and can be available should you require assistance. We are situated on the banks of Loch Long with wonderful views of the Cobbler. There are plenty of hill walks in the vicinity and a number of easier local walks and cycle routes. Arrochar has a number of bars and eating options, including the local pub and restaurant just a short stroll from the accommodation. We are also just a 1.5 mile walk to the freshwater Loch Lomond and the boat tours leaving from Tarbet. Loch Fyne Oyster Bar and brewery is a short drive away, as is the Gruffalo trail at Cairndow. The Loch Lomond Faerie trail can be found at Luss, around 30 min away. Garelochhead, Lochgoilhead and Inveraray and Helensburgh are all within easy driving distances. For those travelling by train the Arrochar and Tarbet station is 1 mile away from the accommodation - with trains southbound to Glasgow and northbound to Oban and Mallaig (over the famous Glennfinnan aquaduct) featured in the Harry Potter films. It is possible to travel by sleeper train from London direct to Arrochar and Tarbet station. Buses to Glasgow, Helensburgh, Oban and Cambeltown pass through the village. The cleaning fee covers the cost of a cleaning company deep cleaning the Annex and laundering & ironing the bedding and towels.
