The village has a friendly pub, popular Italian restaurant and coffee shop. The location is ideal for walkers and those wanting to enjoy the great outdoors or simply just relax . Our property sits within 3 acres of garden on the bank of the River Derwent and we are able to offer fishing to those who are interested . You are welcome to relax and enjoy the extensive garden and river frontage at your leisure . We sit within a wildlife corridor with a lovely river walk on the doorstep . Our home was built in 1826 by John Annandale , a wealthy paper mill owner and is referenced in Nikolaus Pevner’S Buildings of England. Bedroom and bathroom are accessed by the main staircase. Durham and Newcastle are both approx 20 mins drive . Free Parking on site . Just a short walk into Shotley Bridge or a 20 mins drive to Newcastle , Durham , Corbridge .
