Holly Cottage - a stone's throw away from stunning coastline, rivers, moorland & historic Dartmouth, Kingsbridge & Totnes. Its quaint cosy interior is surprisingly bright for a rustic cottage in a rural village setting. Put your feet up with a book by the fire, explore beautiful local walks from the cottage or have a blast of fresh coastal air. The secluded rear garden is perfect for watching birds and sunsets over the moor. The village has a fantastic local pub with a garden & small shop. Bedroom: At the rear of the cottage - has an opening north-facing roof light making it bright by day and great for stargazing by night. Views out the window are fields and countryside with horses, sheep, chickens and Dartmoor in the distance beyond. Comfy good quality double mattress. Small settee to relax on. Chest of drawers to store your clothes with hanging space on the back of the door if needed. Living Room: The fireplace is wonderfully cosy and calming making alll your hygge aspirations all the more easy to reach! Two good sized and comfortable sofas with blankets and cushions. Great for lounging. Under the stairs is a little reading nook The window-side table is a perfect place to sit and eat or work on your laptop. Kitchen: All the essentials and more, just bring your own food and drink. Lovely space to cook in with plenty of work surface and storage space. The spice rack is pretty varied and useful! Eggs and apple juice or other local bits and bobs can be provided if requested. Bathroom: A skylight makes this space bright and airy. Small in size but clean, cosy and practical. A lovely space to relax with a candle or essential oils. Full bath with fixed shower head. The hot water never runs out and the water pressure is very decent. Garden: At the rear of the house is a small private garden with a decked area and lawn. It has a relatively secluded setting but you might see a friendly neighbour pottering about from time in their gardens. The old stone pig sty (no longer in use!) adds a bit of character and rustic charm. A decking area with a table and bench catches the morning sun and is perfect for breakfast lunch and dinner when you can watch the sunset. Note: House plants - because they are good company. The Village has a beautiful pub with garden serving quality food and drinks in a lovely setting - about two minutes walk from the cottage, maybe less! There are multiple beautiful walks that you can set off on foot from the cottage. The closest beach - Slapton - is 10 minutes drive away and is gorgeous. There are many more fantastic beaches and coves 20-40 minutes drive away.
