WATERFRONT—Cove Point Beach House

Beachfront house!! 3 bedrooms and 2 baths!! Spacious beach house steps away from amazing sandy beach on the Chesapeake Bay. Sleeps 6 comfortably (2 BRs with queen beds, 1 BR with full futon and twin cot, sunroom with queen futon). Full kitchen, gas grill, central a/c. Kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys. Truly a place to unwind. Very quiet neighborhood setting--no large parties! 2 night minimum. I am just a phone call or text away. The Cove Point Beach neighborhood is a quiet family-oriented beach community with both summer and full-time residents. It is also home to one of the best private beaches on the Chesapeake Bay. The Cove Point Lighthouse is within walking distance, and the Calvert Cliffs and Flag Ponds nature parks are just a short drive away (5-10 minutes), two great areas to find sharks teeth. The Battle Creek Cypress Swamp nature park and museum is a unique Maryland must-see, as is the Jefferson Patterson park and museum on the Patuxent River. A visit to the Calvert Marine Museum in Solomon's is a notable landmark and while you are in Solomon's, stroll around the quaint town and enjoy an excellent meal at any number of restaurants (our favorite is the Lighthouse). Heading over the bridge into St. Mary's County also offers a number of interesting and enjoyable activities : the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum, a day trip to Leonardtown and a visit to historic St. Mary's City, Maryland's first colonial city and capital, are just a few! There's so much to do in Southern Maryland, you'll need to come back again and again. Of course, relaxing on the beach, in the backyard in a hammock, in the sunroom with a good book, watching a movie or taking a nap are also some of our favorite things to do, too!
