Welcome to the House on Spout Hill, a charming and newly renovated three bedroom, two bath, Victorian home located in Historic Sykesville, just steps to the vibrant Main Street. This spacious house offers a home away from home. You'll have access to the entire house. Modern amenities with historic charm, all within walking distance to boutique shops, bars, restaurants, playground and the local coffee shop. This house is both family friendly and also offers a nice getaway space with friends. This recently renovated three bedroom, two bath Victorian home, is located in historic Sykesville, Maryland and just steps away from Main Street. Sykesville was named “The Coolest Small Town in America” by Budget Travel Magazine, so come check out all this town has to offer! The house is spacious and offers a home away from home that is both family friendly and a wonderful getaway space for friends. You and your guests will have access to the entire property during your stay. And, while Sykesville is a gem of a small town located in Central Maryland, we are by no means remote. There are amenities and interesting cultural, historical, and natural destinations of interest to explore if you are so inclined. The house is a historic home and is located on 0.4 acres of land with a large fenced back yard. The property is a wonderful blend of historic features and charm with modern amenities and comfort and has been decorated with the intention of making our guests feel comfortable, casual, and relaxed during their stay. Whether you are enjoying the yard, sitting on the porch enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, taking the kids to the local playground or skate park, exploring one of the many possible day trip destinations, or visiting the local coffee shop, boutiques, restaurants, or bars on Main Street, we want you to be comfortable and enjoy your visit. The house is three stories, with most of your time likely spent on the 1st two floors. The first floor has a living room with a television, an eat-in kitchen, a laundry room, and a bedroom with a queen bed, small desk space, and the room has direct access to the first floor full bathroom. The bathroom is also accessible from the hall. The second floor has two additional bedrooms—one with a king bed and one with a queen bed. The second floor also has another full bathroom and a second living area that also includes another TV. There is also a third floor bonus room. Wi-Fi runs throughout the house. Have a little ones? We’ve got you covered with the basics—a pack and play, high chair, and stroller. Please inquire directly prior to your stay to make sure we have what you need. Park in the private two car carport at the rear of the property and enter through the back gate. Please, no parking in the driveway. More detailed instructions for access will be provided prior to your arrival. The start of Main Street is just a few blocks away and the playground is 0.6 miles from the house. Both are sidewalk accessible. Access to the closest major highway is less than a three minute drive. Located in the Sykesville Historic District and walking distance to Main Street, including bars, restaurants, playgrounds, and boutique shopping. Free parking on property for 2 cars. Please do NOT park in driveway. Also, walking distance to Main Street, where parking is also free.
