Tucked off street in a family neighborhood, you can expect a relatively quiet stay despite easy access to Hwy 101 making it an great stopover on your way up 101. Proximity to restaurants, wineries, and grocery stores, makes it an awesome location for longer stays. This small cottage is fully furnished with everything you need to get a good sleep, make your own meals, or chat with friends on the patio. This is a 1940's quaint cottage with two bedrooms and an open layout living room/kitchen. This cottage is tucked in off street and behind a house that shares the larger city lot. Ukiah is a small town and evenings and nights are relatively quiet. This is a family neighborhood and best for guests intending to enjoy that type of space. It is not great for big groups or parties as the community is small and close knit with friendly neighbors, dogs and kids. The residents of the front house are quiet and keep to themselves but also very friendly and kind. Please DO NOT disturb them however as we want all residents and guest to enjoy the space. Guests will have a special access code to the house and will have exclusive access to the indoor and outdoor spaces around the cottage. The property is fenced on 3 sides but not secure for pets to be off leash. Guests can enjoy morning coffee on the shaded porch or an evening glass of wine outdoors enjoying a small fire (ONLY when burning is permitted). We endeavor to allow our guests their privacy and will not be on the property during the stay unless there is a specified reason. We do have a cleaner/gardener who may be working on the landscape from time to time. We have a cleaner co-host who is available should a guest need something in person. We are readily available however if contact is desired through the app (preferred) or by phone. Please don't hesitate to reach out. The neighborhood is family oriented which means you will see kids riding bikes, folks going to and coming from work, people walking with dogs and tending their yards and flowers. The neighbors are pretty friendly and should you wish, be curious and interested in talking with you. Out of consideration for these working people, please endeavor to keep quiet hours between 9pm and 7am on weekdays and 11pm and 7am on weekends. There is free parking for at least two cars (let us know if you would like to park more) off the street. The access is fine for normal size cars or trucks but not great if you have a uhaul or trailer. It is an easy walk to downtown (15 min) and very quick to a few restaurants, Walmart and Costco (5-10) if you would rather not drive or want to walk home from being out. There is a Natural Foods coop and Safeway within a 10 minute walk as well. We are offering a DISCOUNT for the first several months while we complete the landscaping and new fencing so expect that aspect of the property to not be as polished. We will make sure that any work done will not disturb you and that you know that it is happening prior. The cottage does NOT have air conditioning AC so please plan accordingly. There are fans in the cottage and evenings cool down nicely in Ukiah so open the windows and enjoy the night air.
