Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. The cottage is a detached house set in its own garden with driveway access to the public road. Once the bakers house of the village with the bakery adjoined to the cottage, this renovated cottage has been sensitively restored keeping many of its original features. The village of Edgefield lies approximately 5miles south of the North Norfolk coast with easy access to the coastal towns of Blakeney, Cley, Sheringham and Cromer and within a short distance of the national trust estates of Felbrigg, Blickling and Mannington all of which have beautiful forest walks and good cafes serving food most of the day. Edgefield has a very good gastro pub, The Pigs, within walking distance of the cottage as well as nearby restaurants in Aylsham, Blickling, Holt, Blakeney and Wiverton. Bakery Cottage is detached in its own private sunny garden with off street parking for 2 cars. The garden is level and has gravel paths to the property. No parts are shared, other than the odd hedgehog. We are generally around for advice and help if needed, but respect our guests privacy and leave guests to enjoy the tranquility of Bakery Cottage Edgefield is a small village split into The Green, situated on the B1149 and The Street which nestles in the valley of the River Bure source. Bakery cottage is situated in The Street with its rolling hills and surrounding farmlands. It enjoys a quiet location off the main roads and surrounded by plenty of mature trees with the tranquility broken only by the sound of owls at night. As the only public transport is one bus a day, the best way to get around is cycling or by car. There is a network of unclassified roads linking Edgefield to Holt and beyond which is ideal for cyclists. Do ask the hosts about cycle routes to Sheringham, Blakeney, Blickling and and Mannington and more. Edgefield is an ideal location to explore the North Norfolk coast and is within easy reach of Norwich, Cambridge and even London by train for a day out.
