Cheerful 2-bedroom cottage on SW coast path

Welcome to your house by the sea! Family and pet friendly, this comfortable house is a real home, so it's well equipped with kitchen essentials, wifi, books, boardgames, and space to relax by the log burner. The South West coast path is a 5 minutes walk from the house; with 3 glorious beaches within a 20 minutes walk, and Start Point easily walkable for more ambitious ramblers. The village shop and community owned pub that serves great food (with an unbeatable view) are within a 5 minutes walk. Cheerfully decorated, the house is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s a 5 minute walk from the South West coast path (Strete), and a 20 minute walk to 3 beaches (Strete Gate, Blackpool Sands, and the ‘secret’ pirate beach at Landcombe, which is inaccessible by car so often deserted). Our village shop is well stocked and the community owned pub serves great food and has a very fine view of Start Bay - both are 5 mins walk from the house. There’s a comfortable open plan sitting room/dining room, with a log burner, and a separate well equipped kitchen. There will be kindling and a basket of logs to get you started, and the village shop sells more logs if you need them. There are books, board games, and decent WiFi. You can see the sea from the twin bedroom (which has a ‘trundle’ third single bed option), and you can see all the way to Dartmoor from the double room. There’s a small wildlife friendly front garden and a courtyard at the back. The laundry (washing machine and dryer) is in the garage at the back. Free parking on the road directly outside the house but please park tight up to the bank as occasional traffic also needs to pass. It’s a family friendly, pet friendly home, in a village by the sea. There are beaches, glorious walks, great pubs and local seafood, and an easy drive to Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. Definitely easiest accessed by car but there are buses (Strete, near Dartmouth). There’s no central heating but there is underfloor heating in the kitchen and hall, heaters/heated towel rails in the bedrooms/bathrooms, and a log burner in the sitting room.
