The Courtyard Cottage

We are a small farm, nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Peak District with fantastic views from all aspects. We love horses and have 14 dressage horses here on the farm. This is truly a lovely place to explore and enjoy the peak district. The cottage has a top spec finish, full of high end luxury fittings and equipment. Horses are about between 9am-5pm, only book if you are happy to see/ hear horses during those hours. You will not be disturbed by them at night....its all lovely and quiet The Courtyard Cottage is a little bit of luxury in the heart of the beautiful Peak District. A place for a couple to come and get away from it all, take in the views and appreciate the beauty of this location. It is stacked full of high end equipment and furnishings, and has a gloriously comfortable king size with beautiful bed linen. There is a modern en-suit bathroom, with a shower big enough for two, with beautifully soft Egyptian bath sheets. There is ample parking right outside the front door. To the rear is a private garden area, with table and chairs for outside dining. The views from the garden are breathtaking, and a lovely place to sit and relax. There will be tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar available, and a fresh pint of milk will be in the fridge, along with a few nibbles in the cookie jar :) Parking directly outside The Cottage. You can Walk right from the front door, down the drive onto the Limestone way.....this opens up so many walks to local villages, Robin Hoods Stride, Stanton Moor and much more. We always try and meet our guests, find a few minutes for a light conversation. We also try to be around at checkout time, to thank our guests for choosing our space for their stay and wish them a safe onward journey. Detached farm, with spectacular views, ten minutes walk from local villages of Elton and Winster. Direct access onto the limestone way, leading to fabulous walks such as Robin Hoods Stride, Nine Ladies Circle on Stanton Moor, with pubs along the way to drop into for lunch. Private parking directly outside the property. Wonderful walks right from the doorstep. Bus route from local village, ten minutes walk away. We are situated right on the fringe of Chatsworth House Estate, Haddon Hall Estate, the market towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Ashbourne , Buxton are all within a ten to fifteen minute drive.
