Bill’s Boathouse is a beautiful, sustainable boathouse moored permanently on the Murray River, as part of the Riverglen Marina Reserve southeast of Adelaide. This is our special spot for 2. Whether you need a place for a romantic getaway, a creative working stay or just to get out of the house, Bill's is the perfect choice. Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique place. This completely self-contained, modern concept floating eco pod is a stylish getaway boathouse right on the Murray River. It offers a spacious fully functional kitchen for those who love to cook, a Webber barbecue for those who don’t like to cook, a fishing rod and tackle for those who want to catch what they cook, plus two outdoor sun chairs for those waiting to be fed. There’s even a desk for creative types. The boathouse sleeps up to two people. When you’re in full relaxation mode, the wrap-around timber deck offers sensational views directly facing the river. Grab a deck chair or a sun lounger, soak in the sunset and embrace the fun of river life! When the sun decides to set, you may wish to light the fire or soak in a steaming outdoor bath. The bedroom includes a built-in wardrobe, queen size bed and warm American Oak driftwood flooring, while the adjoining modern bathroom has a full-sized shower for a relaxing soak. The queen size bed looks out to the water through the willow trees - as does our outdoor bathtub on the deck. We would appreciate it if your dog doesn't sleep on or in the bed especially if they are prone to shredding lots of fur - if they do please take every precaution to minimise dog hair being left in the bedding e.g. BYO dog bed or bring a blanket for them to sleep on. The marina has basic rules around dogs: 1) please pick up after your dog - we have supplied some bags on board to assist (bins with yellow lids are used for all rubbish) 2) when not on the boat, dogs are to be kept on a leash at ALL times - there are other dogs and vehicles moving constantly in the marina, should you allow your dog to be off a lead this is at your own risk 3) dogs are not to be left unattended Bill's Boathouse is all yours. You will have access to the whole property - tiny home / studio with ensuite. Timber deck with chairs, table, BBQ, hammock and outdoor bath tub. Two kayaks for your use to paddle around and explore the river with its abundant wildlife. Riverglen Marina is a full-service marina with river-front and basin berths of varying sizes to suit houseboats, cruisers and small boats, set amongst the gums and willows in a quiet rural-river location. A secure and gated community, each berth is connected to filtered water, pump-out waste disposal and electricity. Riverglen Marina features a sweeping lawned reserve, on-water fuel bay, boat ramp, car & boat storage, kiosk & licensed bottle shop, gas refills, kayak hire, BBQ facility and tennis court. You will need a car to get around. The Riverglen Marina is 10 min away from the Murray Bridge town. We have introduced additional measures in addition to our usual high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. From issuing your keys, to sanitation of our boathouse and other amenities, we’re in overdrive ensuring every touchpoint has been cleaned vigilantly. We are monitoring advice from government health agencies with staff receiving regular updates to ensure they are well-prepared and have the latest information. We have increased the frequency of our cleaning of public and high-touch areas. Please contact us if you have any concerns, but otherwise we look forward to seeing you! Please note, Bill's Boathouse is not suitable for small children due to the hazards of the water out front. However, pets are very welcomed! There are plenty of birds, swans and other wildlife to interact with. Please do not feed them bread as it is not the suitable food for them. We stock a basic pantry, which includes: Black and Green Teas, Salt, Pepper & Olive Oil, small milk. Please pop in to the marina kiosk for more supplies if you need any. Guests find it hard to leave once they arrive, so we recommend you do some shopping in Murray Bridge before you arrive. Amenities in our minimal kitchen include a 2 burner stove, a small oven, a bar fridge, kettle and toaster, small dishwasher. We have a plunger coffee maker as well.
