Disconnect and relax in our renovated 1905 Craftsman home nestled 1 block off of Main St. and a short walk to the Utopia Park. Head to Garner State Park or Lost Maple State Natural Area for a day of hiking, kayaking or swimming. Discover our untouched part of the Texas Hill Country with rugged canyons and cool, beautiful streams where Cypress, Live Oak and Pecan Trees tower. The Utopia area offers a range of activities fit for experiencing the Hill Country to its fullest potential. This house is perfect for individuals and couples. It has a cozy queen bed, full bed, full bath and a kitchen with amenities for an enjoyable stay. A gas grill is present for your private use while watching the stars and enjoying the country air. You’re encouraged to “unplug” during your stay and embrace nature. However, a smart TV and WiFi connection IS available to you. No direct cable source provided. There are some card games available. A washer & dryer are in the home for you convivence. We are glad to answer guests’ questions or give them information about the area. Guests can message us through Airbnb We are located a block from main street. There is a general store a few blocks away if you need some necessities. If you are in need of a coffee break try Postal Brews on the corner. They have great specialty coffee drinks, breakfast, lunch and pastries (even gluten free). Lost Maples Café is also a must while you are in town (Featured on "Texas Bucket List"). Or visit Mac & Ernie's in Tarpley (20 minutes) (Featured on "Diner's, Drive-in's and Dives"). Utopia is a great home base for day trips, whether on a motorcycle or car, enjoy the scenic curvy roads. Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Boerne and Comfort are all close by and great for antique shopping and dining. There are also museums, State Parks, rivers and many wineries in the Hill Country to enjoy. Utopia has a great public golf course that was the setting for Robert Duvall's movie, "7 Days in Utopia, Golf's Sacred Journey." The Hill Country is made up of many small towns connected by beautiful scenic drives. There are gorgeous Hill Country landscapes in almost any direction. Scenic drives are a favorite pastime for many visitors and locals alike. So crank those windows down, turn up the radio, and enjoy!
