Big old house with library, near railroad station to New York city and ferries to Fire Island. Easy walk to restaurants and bars of Patchogue, Long island. Near Patchogue Center for Performing Arts and Art Space. Wifi available as is cable tv. It is a 15 minute walk into Patchogue Village Main street, great pizza at DelFiores, ribs at Bobbique, food and beer at Brickhouse brewery and the new Blue Point brewery is great, Tropical Gallo, three sushi places, a Mac and Cheese place, Catch seafood place , Reese’s and many other great restaurants. Give me a call if you need a ride from the train station. Streets are tree lined with period lighting and sidewalks great for a walk. My place is unique because of its library and woodcarvings and masks from around the world. There are woodfloors throughtout the house. The kitchen is an orignal 1950's kitchen complete with breakfast nook and red countertops. Bathrooms are newly painted and have 1920's original subway tile. All bedrooms now have a 32 inch LCD cable television with cable box for use by guests. All bedrooms also have their own lock and key and there is a latch for the bathroom door. All rooms now have blinds. Towels, soap and shampoo provided. Small refrigerator for guest use provided in hall outside room A full breakfast is not provided, but coffee, tea and hot cocoa is always available. For short term stays, croissants, butter and jam is provided in the morning. Full breakfast is available within walking distance and a bagel store, Italian bistro on Main Street in Patchogue, and at country kitchen. Laundry is available at $5.00 a load. GLBT friendly. This is a room in a private house with the owner living on the premises, this is not a commercial bed and breakfast, and it has never been advertised as such. Guest Access Access to kitchen and individual bedroom. Access to library to borrow books while in the house. Interaction with Guests I offer them privacy, or will chat over meals on weekends and in the evenings. The Neighborhood Walking distance to Patchogue Village. Local neighborhood bar, Reeses about a 10 minute walk. Main Street Patchogue is about 15 minute walk. Lots of bars, restaurants, library, theater, independent movie theater (Plaza Cinema). Music venues. There is an Organic coffee shop called Roast and a breakfast place called Toast and Buttermilk’s and Flos . There is also a night club, seafood restaurants, a wide variety of food, walking distance to supermarkets. I recently installed a whole house water purification system and the water out of the tap is like bottled water. Additionally there is highly purified reverse osmosis water available out of an additional spigot in the kitchen 24/7. Access to kitchen and individual bedroom and library. I offer them privacy, or will chat over meals on weekends and in the evenings. Walking distance to Patchogue Village. Local neighborhood bar, Reeses about a 10 minute walk. Main Street Patchogue is about 15 minute walk. Lots of bars, restaurants, library, theater, independent movie theater (Plaza Cinema). Local Organic food store, Waldens. Music venues. There is an Organic coffee shop called Roast. There is also a night club, seafood restaurants, a wide variety of food, walking distance to supermarkets. 10 new restaurants will be opening in the next 6 months. There is a bus stop in front of my house. Its a 15-20 minute walk to the LIRR with trains out east and into Jamaica Queens, with connections to Brooklyn and Manhattan's Penn Station and Amtrak. Also connections to JFK airport and airtrain. Full length mirror and hair dryer in the room for use. There is a brand new queen size bed in the room. All rooms are air conditioned and have cable vision and Wi-Fi . There are 2 friendly cats in the house. They do not go into guest rooms. They stay either in the Florida room or attic.
