Modern, Magical Woodsy Escape 1 Hour From NYC

The Lodge is our version of the perfect Hudson Valley hideaway, filled with the best parts of all the places we've stayed over the years. It's an indulgent country escape with the comfiest beds, cushiest couches and coziest nooks to relax in. Fluffy towels, soft blankets, a well-stocked kitchen, and everything you need to make a campfire await, all surrounded by stunning forest views and close to everything you need. With its open floor plan, high ceilings and furniture meant for melting into, it's the perfect spot to relax and unwind with family and friends. Enjoy your morning coffee on the screen porch while listening to the sounds of the babbling brook. Gather around the fire pit for s'mores, laughs and sounds of the forest. With three living rooms and four bedrooms, there's plenty of space for everyone to have a good time. The house is on 2.5 private acres and includes a private wooded area behind the house that you can hike if you wish. We recommend bringing hiking shoes or sneakers because it's a little steep and can be muddy! You can also take a stroll on our very private road up to a gorgeous view and along the brook. Just turn left outside the house and walk around the road barrier and up. For a stunning view of the sunset, check out the nearby cemetery (really!) just a 2 min drive away. The Lodge has four main bedrooms, plus a huge loft room upstairs that can sleep up to four people, with a double twin trundle and two 11 ft x 11 ft extra wide couches. We also have the "Zen Den" room downstairs which is a great spot for meditation, reading, playtime, or even an extra place to sleep. We also have three living rooms — the "movie room" upstairs, the "conversation pit" on the main floor, and another living room + TV on the lower level. The lower level can function as it's own self-contained apartment with bedroom, full bathroom, living room and kitchen. There is easy in/out access from the lower level through the laundry room and into the garage Please note that we are the red/brown house on the right of the driveway. There are two parking spaces outside the garage and another at the bottom of the driveway. Uber and Lyft are available but it can take a little time to get one so we recommend planning 20 mins ahead. We're about 15 mins to the Croton-on-Hudson and Peekskill train stations, and about 30 minutes from Cold Spring (all accessible via Metro North from Grand Central NYC).
