The former catholic church next door is not functional and not rented. Jackie Kennedy worshipped here, and John Cage premiered many of his compositions. The house offers the highest standard in terms of quality, comfort, and taste, and was recently remodeled. The dining room/ kitchen is the house's social center, fully equipped for cooking and entertaining to celebrate the amazing local fresh farm food offerings. Adjacent are two comfortable living rooms. Upstairs is the master bedroom, one large bedroom with two twin beds, a spacious office with two desks and another wood stove, and two beautifully appointed bathrooms. Downstairs and separated by a small hallway is the guest apartment with 2 additional bedrooms, a third living room, bathroom, and its own kitchen, ideal for bringing family guests while keeping some privacy. The large back porch is set up for convivial meals looking out onto the beautiful back lawn. A grass terrace offers two comfortable steamer chairs to recline and enjoy the view. Barrytown is a historic hamlet that together with Annandale-on-Hudson and Tivoli belong to the town of Red Hook. We are located in Columbia County and 10 minutes north of Rhinebeck. The Rhinecliff Amtrak train station is a 12 minutes drive away. There is a separate charge of $50 per day if you wish to heat the pool.
