A Villa with a luxury Florence Room for you

Luxury linens, warm cookies at turndown, popcorn for movies, a tea collection for your enjoyment, breakfast and the use of the Villa. The Villa is located in the foothills of the mountains and is surrounded by an ancient pear orchard. There are peaceful terraces and gardens in all directions for reading, dining, and wandering. Nearby rock climbing, skiing and cycling can be enjoyed Our villa is surrounded by several acres of trees, gardens, birds and butterflies. Each room is furnished with luxury linens, yummy cookies at turn down, and popcorn in the kitchen every evening. A continental breakfast is served in the formal dining room or on one of the terraces or in the gazebo. Guests are welcome to enjoy vegetables or fruit from the organic garden or orchard while in season. There is a separate children's outside play area. And finally the trees on the north orchard are lighted at night with thousands of twinkling lights. The Florence Room is located upstairs on the NE corner of the Villa. This room has a Queen bed, a wardrobe and a reading corner with a small library of inspirational books. The lamps have antique Italian silk shades and the art is retro (1960's) paint by number of scenes in Florence. The views to the east are of the mountains and the north window views overlook the rose and vegetable gardens. There is a roll top desk on the landing for your laptop. In the bathroom the tub/toilet area is separate from the double sink area. This is a shared bathroom with the adjoining room (The Tuscany Room) which has a king size bed. We try to only book one guest per bathroom. Guest have access to WiFi and Hulu (Netflix and Amazon etc.). The villa is open for guests to enjoy including: The formal dining room, a library with art and design books and a complete collection of National Geographic's from 1940's on, a comfortable living room with a fireplace, a huge gourmet kitchen, a front seating area with a spotting scope for bird watching, and a restful garden room for having tea, as well as an upstairs patio and all the terraces and grounds (including a lovely gazebo where a game of chess or scrabble can be played). And finally there is also a hammock for reading or resting on the east lawn. Owner will be on the premises or available by cell phone if guests have a question or a problem. Our villa is situated at the mouth of the American Fork Canyon in the gorgeous Uinta Mountains. This canyon is famous for rock climbing, hiking, cave exploration aand canoeing. Privately guided tours and equipment are available for a fee with advance notice. Summiting Mount Timpanogos is a popular venture. Miles and miles of beautiful paved cycling trails and adjoining dirt equestrian pathways are 4 blocks away. We are located 25 minutes from Robert Redford's Sundance ski resort. Also 45 to 60 min from Park City, Canyons, Alta, Snowbird. Solitude, etc. ski resorts. Private ski instruction can be scheduled in advance. The Mount Timpanogos Temple is visible from out house. The University of Utah is 45 minutes to the North and Brigham University is 15 min. to the South. We have easy access to I-15 {the main freeway}and we are only 37 miles from SLC airport. The UTA Railsystem public transport runs from American Fork ( 5 min from The Villa) north to Salt Lake City - stopping at Temple Square and City Creek shopping and U of U among other places and then south to Provo. We are ony minutes by car from I-15 the main freeway This is a great place to honeymoon. and we love to host weddings at The Villa - over 180 to date.
