Located at the end of Fort McAllister Rd, nextdoor to Fort McAllister State Park and across the street from the public launching ramp. Fish Tales Tiki bar on the Marina in less than half mile away, bring your kayaks or boat and have a truly memorable time, we have the space! Wake up to Trees, walking trails are less than a block away. This is the scene of one the great navel battles of the civil war, explore the history of the fort.. We are 30 mins from Historic downtown Savannah This unit (attached to the main house) features a private entrance in the two car, car port, room at the side for a boat or RV. Leather sofa and 50in TV in the living area with small round table for work or dinner. The multiple windows open up to the trees in the state park. Kitchenette is stocked with a mini refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, keurig, kettle, toaster oven, microwave, slow cooker, dual hot plate, and waffle maker. Comfortable and quiet, outdoor chairs and a Weber charcoal BBQ in the carport. Come out and make it what you will, it can be a fishing weekend, a day of kayaking, exploring or that much needed romantic getaway! You have access to the whole unit, guests staying longer will have access to laundry facilities. We tend to let you have your privacy however should you need anything I am available to help and or advise throughout your stay. Fort McAllister Rd. dead ends at the State Park, a quiet neighborhood that at it's end meanders along side the Ogeechee River. Publix Grocery is located 5 miles away on Highway 17. A gas station and minimart 2 miles away. Bait and Boat Launching is available at the Fort McAllister Marina half a mile away. Fort McAllister Park rents bicycles, canoes and kayaks. Bring your fishing gear and license, a full size weber BBQ is on hand to cook your catch. The Fort McAllister fishing pier is now open just a 5 minute walk from your front door.
