Plenty of space to enjoy nature. Go for a walk through the trees on gentle slopes or if you are up for it, wander down to the winter creek or climb the cliffs and check out the cave on the hill. If you prefer to stay close to comforts there is a large covered deck where you can sit and enjoy the view. Young children can ride bikes (bikes and helmets provided), older children can play at the dam (adult supervision required, boat and kayak provided, BYO life jackets/pdfs). Clarendon township is 1 km down the road (2min drive) and the nearest shopping centre (Aberfoyle Hub) is less than 10min drive. There are many wineries nearby, Hickinbotham and Watkins both within 5 mins drive. The Clarendon township is a lovely little town with delicious bakery, antique shop, general store, Op shop and park with bench seat and creek. Onkaparinga National Park and Scott Creek Conservation park are both approx 15mins drive which both have interesting walking trails. You will have access to the entire house. As it is situated on a working farm, we may be on site to do work in the sheds, orchard or out in the fields but we can discuss your preferences with you before or during your stay. If you want to have a farm experience, then you are welcome to join us in some farm activities such as feeding the chickens and sheep and collecting eggs. If you prefer an uninterrupted stay, then we will aim to keep out of sight if we need to undertake any animal care. You will have the entire house and surrounding lawned areas to yourself regardless of what you prefer. We love to chat with our guests and show them around. We have children who enjoy meeting other children too. If you prefer though, we are happy to leave you to yourself. We live off site and can be contacted by phone if you need assistance during your stay. If you need a prompt answer to a question during your stay, then feel free to send us a text or ring. The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. Our nearest neighbours are across the road. Most of the property is surrounded by other farms so you really get a feeling of being away from it all. This place suits someone with their own transport. It is possible to walk to the nearest local shops in the township of Clarendon as only 1km away, but it is a very steep walk back up the hill for your return. The nearest public transport is approximately 5mins away by car. We have Dunlopillo pillows in the main bedroom. Whilst the kitchen and laundry are neat, tidy and functional, we plan to update them as they are getting tired.
