Danehill House

This fabulous large farmhouse has one of the finest views in Sussex. Set high on the Sussex High Weald there are views of over 30 miles along the south downs. Mount Noddy is a mix of old and new, the oldest parts dating back to 1550. It has 26 acres of land to enjoy. You can relax around the salt water swimming pool over the warmer months. It is the perfect house for quality time in the English countryside. The kitchen is the main hub of the house and is a place for friends and family to gather. There are 6 bedrooms, but the house can sleep up to 13 guests. (If you are a large group there are also two shepherds huts and a well house you can book all on air bnb). There are three living rooms to relax in, each with either a wood burning stove or open fireplace. There is also a salt water swimming pool to use when the weather is warm. Danehill and beyond is located along the 273 mile Greenwich Meridian Trail as closely as it possibly can using public rights of way. This beautiful rural area contains miles of footpaths allowing every opportunity to enjoy the countryside without getting near to a public road. Danehill is a short distance from the Ashdown Forest. Perhaps the most famous neighbour is the Bluebell Railway. Right behind the station is Sheffield park garden laid by Capability Brown. Lewes has some lovely cafes 'flint owl bakery' and shops and is about a 20 minute drive. Fletching village (8 minute drive) has two great pubs, The Rose & The Griffin. You need to drive as there is limited public transport.
