Azibi Cottage, a listed property in Henley-in-Arden in the centre of the beautiful county of Warwickshire. The hosts say when they first walked into this building, they were bowled over, it was the old Butchers shop and required a considerable amount of renovation. After sympathetic renovation and transformation work the property was complete. Azibi Cottage, a historic but modern beauty in the heart of Warwickshire and it is a jewel. Azibi Cottage is a cottage full of history and if buildings could take, this cottage would be able to tell so many (Website hidden by Airbnb) you enter the cottage, you have a gorgeous welcoming area you can sit yourself down and get your self familiar with the cottage. That leads into a comfortable lounge area which has smart TV (which has Netflix etc) plus very reliable wifi. You then come to the lovely kitchen which is kitted out ready for creating the most delicious feasts and this includes a perfect breakfast bar where you can enjoy a coffee and a croissant! There is a wonderful dining room with doors leading out onto an amazing decked area and the cottage garden. Upstairs are 3 fantastic bedrooms, 2 doubles and 1 twin. The bedrooms are very comfortable and perfect whether there is a family staying or for a romantic break for a couple. The bathroom is a great little space with bath with a shower over and the bath has a jacuzzi function and is perfect with a glass of wine and to let the day just wash away. Graeme and Vanessa who host the cottage are on hand whenever needed and their connections make your stay the softest landing space. Incredibly happy to help prior to your stay at Azibi Cottage and during. Henley-in-Arden is a small town on the River Alne west of Warwick and to the north of Stratford-upon-Avon, in central Warwickshire. (Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford is on Henley Street, so named because it was originally the road that led to Henley-in-Arden). Henley is now largely merged with the town of Beaudesert, which falls on the other side of the river. The picturesque village of Henley-in-Arden is a beautiful place to stay. There is a very impressive range of historical buildings to admire, dating back to medieval times. Your exploration will start in the central Market Place, where you can also see the remains of a traditional 15th century market cross, and along the High Street which is notable for its length (more than one mile) and the high number of interesting buildings that line the street. These include the church and two medieval buildings that are open to the public. The attractive Guild Hall, a half-timbered building with brick on the lower floor and wattle and daub on the upper floor with a glorious garden behind it (next to Saint John's Church), and the Joseph Hardy House, now the town Heritage centre and in part dating from the first half of the 14th century. Aside from these, it is the combination of houses and styles that makes Henley-in-Arden so enticing, each house is different from its neighbour and has something new to admire. Fittingly, the main part of the street falls between two traditional pubs, called the White Swan and the Black Swan. There are also a good selection of traditional shops and cafes along the same street, as well as the locally famous Henley Ice Cream Parlour, which is minutes from Azibi Cottage - an unmissable treat! There are great transport links, Henley-in-Arden has its own train station which is approximately a 10 minute walk away and there are bus stops in Henley, which go north to Birmingham or south to Stratford-upon-Avon. We have some very reliable taxi companies in the village too. There is information in the cottage detailing the location and times of the different transport links.
