Gorgeous Mountain Retreat

This converted barn is close to Howe Caverns, Cooperstown and Albany, NY, and is situated between the Catskill and Adirondack mountains on top of the legendary Vroman's Nose. It affords, great views and a private setting that is like unto a small resort. It is family-friendly and comfortable. You’ll love it for the amenities, hiking and activities, the quaint towns and farm land. If you want to get away from the city and take in the beauty of the land, this is the place to visit. The home is a converted barn that still sports stables in 1/3 of the building. There is a theatre, workout room, two living rooms and a secret play room for the kids. There's nothing like it anywhere. It's completely unique. The stable area, upstairs storage room, small detached garage and downstairs office are off limits. The owners live in Florida most of the year but we are dedicated to answering questions and getting you help if you need it. There are only three houses on top of the mountain with us. The other two houses sit on top of the view of the valley and have horses. Although they don't mind us sharing our home with you, they prefer their privacy so headed to their property for the view or to pet the horses is not permitted. We ask our guests to stay on our property to keep neighbor relations at their highest. We are a 3 hour drive from Manhattan. A one hour drive from the Hudson Amtrak Station, or the Albany Amtrak Station and 45 minutes from the Albany Airport. Lots of small country towns, antique dealers, lakes, etc. Beautiful Autumn colors in the fall, cross country skiing in the winter, Swimming and Tennis in the Summer. Please note the jacuzzi is closed from December to March. Only park in the gravel area right next to our home. Do not park anywhere across the road as that is our neighbor's property and they are private people. Cooperstown is near by and has beautiful golf courses, the Farmer's Museum, and baseball. Our area has hiking, quiet relaxation, farms to enjoy and the amenities of the property. We are located in the middle of the area that was known as the Breadbasket of the Revolution and this area still feeds the tristate area today. Farming rules this area of the world. You can do U-pick throughout the summer months. Come in June and head to Bohringers to pick strawberries. A fall trip and our visitors can enjoy the Pumpkin Patch or Mountain Orchard. During the winter months we have a collection of CC skis that we offer if there's snow. We are not far from Windham Ski Resort.
