Escape the city to our little piece of island paradise, only a stone’s throw from the Gold Coast! We are renting out our freshly furnished, 2-bedroom beach house, within the Couran Cove Island Resort on South Stradbroke Island. The beach house is in a prime position in the resort, close to the main restaurant and bar, boardwalk café, children’s games room, walkway to the pools and more. The house features a kitchen, large lounge and marble bathroom with double sinks, shower and separate bath. It is fully air-conditioned with a gas heater for winter. The large deck with 8 seater outdoor setting overlooks the stunning marina, and comes equipped with a newly installed, high quality BBQ. There are laundry facilities in the unit and linen/towels are included. Relax on the large deck overlooking the beautiful marina or take advantage of the activities available such as tennis, kayaking, hiking or soak up the sun in one of the two large resort style pools. Or if you are an adrenalin junkie you can book in a four-wheel drive tour, speed boat tour, ride the waves on a jet ski or take part in a surf lesson! (fees apply) We are not located on the island however you may contact us during your stay using the numbers provided should you have any questions. Where to Eat and Drink on the Island Sunset Beach Bar (personal favourite!) A trip to Couran Cove isn’t complete without visiting Sunset Beach on the Broadwater. Just a short walk from the central resort area, Sunset beach is the perfect vantage point to watch the boats pass by and is a favourite spot for the resident Wallabies. As the name suggests, this is the place to be as the sun goes down. Watch the spectacular sunset over the Broadwater while the sun disappears behind Tamborine Mountain and turns the sky into a postcard perfect sunset every night. Open weekends only Marlin Restaurant & Bar Also located within the Resort, sit back and relax with great company and a cocktail or two, while taking in the stunning view of the magnificent boats docked in the marina. In the evening, enjoy a beautiful dinner menu created using the best local produce available that will dance on your tongue and set you off on a culinary journey. Fresh fish of the day, tender aged beef, locally sourced seafood, fruit and vegetables, and scrumptious hand-made desserts crafted by our talented team of chefs will satiate your appetite as you enjoy the magic of our stunning marina and sip on your favourite drink. Opening hours vary Boardwalk Café Get your coffee hit! Experience a taste of big city coffee culture whilst admiring the beautiful boats on the marina against the rising or setting sun. The café is also home to the general store where all your essential supplies can be purchased during your holidays. Open from 7am – 4pm daily Tipplers Tipplers Café is fully licensed, offers wonderful views and friendly service. It is approximately a 40 minute walk each way from the accommodation. Alternatively hire a bike or take your boat around the corner to Tipplers. There is something for everyone so relax and enjoy the restaurant and bar. Tipplers are a family-friendly destination with live entertainment, great coffee and delicious food. Opening hours vary Boating over? You can moor your boat right out-front of the property however boats over 6m will need to book a berth with the Couran Cove resort to moor. Please call the Couran Cove Resort to book. There is no car access to the Island. You can take your own boat to the island or catch the fast and affordable Couran Cove Island Ferry which leaves from Mariners Cove Sea World Drive Main Beach. Contact the Couran Cove website Direct or book a water taxi which leaves from either Sanctuary Cove or Runaway Bay Marina through Cove Water Taxi. COVID-19 Direction: In line with Queensland Health direction, Couran Cove Resort management advise all guests visiting Couran Cove Island Resort, must be fully vaccinated and carry proof when in the licenced premise of the bar facility attached to the pool and the licenced premises of the Sunset Bar. Unvaccinated guests will still be able to access the ferry, the coffee shop and the general store as these are essential travel and services. Unvaccinated person may use the pool, but not the bar facility attached to the pool and are allowed at the Sunset beach area, but are not allowed to enter the licenced premises of the Sunset Bar.
