The flat over the pub!
The flat above the pub is very much part of the Royal Oak pub in Gretton. You will be surrounded by beautiful countryside with amazing views over the Evesham Vale from its private terrace, which also overlooks the back of the pub kitchen and general pub garden. Bedroom 1 has a king bed and small sofa with wardrobe and hanging space. Bedroom 2 has twin beds and a chest of drawers. The bathroom is used by all guests and located next to bedroom 2. The kitchen and living room are joined and located between the two bedrooms. PLEASE NOTE! The flat is situated over a busy pub which is open from 9am until 11pm daily. There will be noise from the pub including talking, laughing, music, movement of people, staff going about their duties, deliveries into the car park, kitchen staff coming and going and the general atmosphere of a pub! We would rather be upfront about this so there are no surprises and we make no apology for the fact that the room is part of the pub! Please be sure you are coming to the Royal Oak in GRETTON and not one of the many other Royal Oak's (some of which are nearby)! The flat key is to be collected from staff at the bar and access into the flat is then either through an internal staircase through the back of house area of the pub, or an external staircase that leads on to the terrace and private patio doors into the flat. PLEASE NOTE: When the pub is closed, the only access will be via the external staircase. Please take care especially in the dark and in wet weather, as the staircase is wrought iron and can become slippery. Lots of walks and beautiful countryside. Muddy boots, children dogs and well behaved owners welcome There is a bus stop in Gretton for the bus travelling into Winchcombe and Cheltenham, but being in the rural countryside the easiest way to get here is by car. There are many lovely walks in the area (the Cotswold Way also passes through nearby). We have a large gravel car park which is free of charge. The pub has a 6 acre garden which children (and adults!) are welcome to use. The Gloucestershire and Warwickshire steam railway runs past the bottom of the garden ! Remember to wave at the passengers! We also have a hard tennis court which you can use.
