Private “Rose” Room at the Emerson Guest House

Large, private room in downtown Vergennes. This room has its own private half bath (not en suite, right outside your door) and a shared full bathroom down the hall. The Emerson Guest House is a beautiful, historic building in the heart of the Little City. We purchased this historic home in October 2021 and are gradually making improvements. Furnishings may be different than as pictured when you arrive. In the gracious entryway you’ll find freshly brewed coffee in the morning. On the second floor, you’ll have access to your room and the shared bathroom. Outside, there is ample park-like space to enjoy, with multiple fire pits and seating areas. We’re generally home to welcome you and will provide you with our phone number to text should you have questions during your stay. The Emerson Guest House is located on Main St. in downtown Vergennes, just a short walk from shops, restaurants, the Vegennes Opera House and the town library. The guest house is centrally located on Main Street in downtown Vergennes. It is a short walk to all the Little City has to offer. You can park right in front on the street or in the parking lot to the left of the house. In the winter, there is a street parking ban, so you must park in the lot. We live on the first and third floors of the guest house with our toddler and dog, so we may see you around the property during your stay. This room is faces Main St. and so you may hear street traffic, particularly if the windows are open.
