Self Check In by Key pad Our property is Riverside cottage located on the banks of the Moira river with the village of Tweed close by. This cottage has 300 feet of shoreline and sits on 1.3 acres of waterfront, adorned with many trees and a large expanse of lawn. Step outside to find a swimming pool, a deck the river and the island with Lake Stoco just 500 meters down stream. Our goal is to provide variety of activities for all. Outdoors you will discover a canoe, a kayak two firepits, hammocks, lawn furniture and a BBQ station.(propane and charcoal) Besides swimming, fishing, boating and just lazing by the river do you want to play? A volley ball court, horseshoe pits, bocce ball, washer toss and a tire swing will keep you busy. As well there is much to explore in the area. Will one week be enough? Indoors you will find a fully equipped kitchen, two living rooms with smart TVs, hi speed Wi Fi dart board and board games. Three bathrooms and four bedrooms to accommodate a large number of fun seekers. We know you will enjoy your vacation at either property. The space Our goal is for you to never run out of things to do. We carry many outdoor and indoor games, and there is so much to explore in the area. We don't think 1 week is enough to do everything! Outdoor activities and amenities included with your stay: canoe, kayak, two firepits (1 large, 1small), hammocks, lawn furniture, horseshoe pits, volleyball court, bocce ball, washer toss, tire swing, bbq station (propane and charcoal bbqs), Indoor activities and amenities: large fully equipped kitchen, two separate living rooms with smart TVs and hi speed wifi, dartboard, board games, 3 bathrooms. Guest access The full house and property are yours. Lots of yard space, and 330' of shoreline. Pool is open from June - September. Other things to note Please note: during July and August we only rent by the week, from Friday-Friday. Please note: linens and personal towels are not included. Firewood is available for campfires on a self serve basis. $20/wheelbarrow. During your stay My Husband and I live couple hours away. We can be reached out by our cell. We've hired a wonderful neighbor (Celine) to look after your stay while we're away. You can call her anytime. If you have any ideas or suggestions for improvement you can also contact us. Response rate: 90% Response time: within a few hours Where you’ll be Tweed, Canada 500m upstream, Stoco Lake is a fishing destination. You can also boat approximately 1 km downstream before the first rapids. Tweed is a nice cottage town which is on the far side of the lake. Only a 5 minute drive, or even boat into town. With no neighbours across the river or to the south you can have private dinners on the deck. Getting around There is a public boat launch located just across the river from our cottage. Please note: during low water levels the river upstream into the lake can be tricky for navigation. There are several shallow spots with rocks. The channel is marked and all the locals take large boats up and down, but it can be tricky on your first attempt. There is 1.5 kms of good boating downstream before hitting some rapids.
