Casa Vista is a Spanish colonial style, 3-bedroom and 2-bathroom house hidden away in the hills of Las Marias. Brought to you by Hacienda Serena, you will have all the amenities of a hotel, but with the look and feel of a farm hacienda. You will be surrounded by incredible mountain views, cold breezes during the night, sounds of the forest, and will be able to enjoy all of it from the hillside house that has a newly installed kitchen, a fully furnished living room, and the ability to enjoy the serenity of Las Marias in a private patio with a warm jacuzzi, bbq, hammocks, outdoor shower, and outstanding peace. Guests can access the river and all trails on Hacienda Serena. We want you to have your privacy but are available 24/7 and are just a phone call away. We are nearby to attend to your needs, answer your questions and resolve any concerns you might have. The town of Lares is just 15-20 minutes away with its rich cultural plaza, surrounding museums, attractions, local restaurants, and some fast foods. Hacienda Lealtad, a restored 19th-century Puerto Rican coffee plantation that offers tours, coffee tasting, and a great restaurant, is 15 minutes away. The 'Heladería El Grito' is renowned for its tasty ice creams in many creative flavors is nearby in the Lares town square. An education farm tour in a cacao farm is 30 minutes away. A little further away are many other attractions such as zip-lining, waterfalls, caves, a world-renowned observatory, and much more. Beaches are only an hour away. Casa Vista is almost a 2-hour drive from San Juan. A car is a necessity in the mountains, and 4-wheel drive is ideal. Roads are not clearly marked but the GPS is reliable in most areas. However, one must be careful while traveling through the curvy roads to reach the property. We are available to provide you with clear directions and even show you the way to and from Casa Vista. Maps of the area and signage will help you get there easily. 1. Be careful driving during strong rain showers. Do not head to the river if it rained constantly during the day or night. The tide will rise dramatically. The safety of our guests is our main priority. 2. Generator will turn on and off depending on the power grid of the area. Don’t be alarmed, since our place is in a very remote area it is very common to lose power every other day.
