Traditional North Norfolk cottage

Beautiful two bedroom cottage in the unspoilt village of South Creake, 3 miles south of Burnham Market. We renovated it over the last three years. It provides a wonderful base from which to enjoy the North Norfolk coast (walk the beaches, take boat trips to see the seals, visit a range of wonderful pubs and restaurants) or stay in with a good book and a glass of wine in front of the woodburning fire. EV charge point available by arrangement as well as access to field for dog walking. Barn Cottage is a 300 year old building that we renovated over recent years using traditional materials (lime plaster, oak floors etc). We installed a bespoke hand-made kitchen with induction hob, double oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and microwave as well as all crockery, cutlery, pans, dishes etc We hung original art throughout and often use the cottage for family and friends. So it is more like an extension of our home than a typical rental property i.e. it is slightly quirky, full of books and mementos, huge beams on which taller people may bump their heads, the walls can be a bit dusty etc. But it all adds to the charm and character of the cottage (in our view!). The bedrooms both have king size beds, mattress toppers and feather pillows and duvets. The bathroom has a bath and power shower; WC and basin. Full sets of luxury cotton towels are provided. The sitting room has a sofa, armchairs, woodburner sitting within an inglenook fireplace and smart TV (Sky / Netflix / Prime etc). There is an open staircase from here to the first floor. There is broadband with wifi, a bluetooth smart speaker and radio. There is Central Heating and unlimited hot water. Outside is a patio with table and chairs, a firepit and a BBQ (charcoal & wood available on request). There is an EV charge point that is available by request. Access through our garden to the field at the back of the property is available by request should renters wish to bring well behaved dogs. We have a cat and a dog ourselves which may well be wandering around our own house next door! Parking is outside or at the rear of the property We have a house next door so may be around if needed. If not just message me and I will reply promptly! South Creake is a quiet village 3 miles south of Burnham Market and the wonderful North Norfolk coast. It has a pub (The Ostrich - newly refurbished) a veg shed full of local produce, a village green with playground, stream and ducks and two fantastic grass tennis courts available to visitors (May - September) for a small fee. Burnham Market is full of small independent shops including a great fishmonger and butcher, several lovely pubs and lots of restaurants. Fakenham is also close by with several big supermarkets as well as a weekly farmers market on Thursday mornings. The coast is 5 miles away with Brancaster, Burnham Overy Staithe, Holkham and Wells all within easy reach. The beaches and pine woods at Holkham and Wells are stunning. North Creake is the next village on with a lovely pub (open at weekends) and a farm shop / cafe as well as an interesting selection of clothes / antique / hairdressing shops. There is parking outside the cottage as well as to the rear if easier.
