PRIVATE WOOD SHOP STUDIO In the heart of village

Welcome, the Woodshop Studio is located behind our home in downtown Shelburne Falls. Tucked back into the trees and very private, this self contained simple space is one block from the village center. Come park your car and walk to everything and take a stroll across the bridge of flowers. There is a small kitchenette, high speed internet, a tv with movies, books, and more. We are long time hosts and continue to enjoy hosting and meeting folks from all over. Eco conscious and 420 friendly. This is a second floor studio apartment located above a family wood shop. The post and beam was built by Jim and is filled with lots of wood and character. The inside is heated and cooled by a mini split, a wood stove, and infrared backup. You’ll enter through the wood shop and go upstairs which is sealed of whenever work happens and is considered a dust free zone. There is a simple shower in a tiled bathroom, a futon, kitchen island that’s great for tea and snacks but not for real cooking, a reading chair, desk, and small sofa. There is also a hutch to hang cloths and a hairdryer and ironing board. Great for a couple, but cozy with more. If you would like the foldout futon made, please select 3 or more guests. We currently do not allow pets because of the amount of work it takes to reboot for others that are more sensitive. You are welcome to a send pet inquiry, but we have restrictions and charge an extra fee.. There is off street parking for a small to medium size vehicle and the parking on Main Str is free and always available. There is offstreet parking, a backyard with a hammock table and chairs, and Wi-Fi throughout. We also added a table and chairs behind the shop, which is nice at sunset. We are often around and out back playing with the kids, gardening, and going about our lives. We enjoy company and are glad to say hello and offer recommendations. We have an angora bunny named sprinkles that you’re welcome to say hello to and Pat because she’s very friendly and soft. A small puppy named Benji is around and you may see him also. For being right downtown it’s a very family-based quiet neighborhood that bustles with folks going about every day life. We are right next to all the businesses and lots of eateries galleries etc. We are in a perfect location to get around on foot. Bicycles are nice too. We had to stop doing breakfast because we became too busy with family stuff. We also had to stop hosting pets because it was too much work to clean for others that are pet sensitive. We are happy to help and accommodate however we can. The woodwork and wildlife photography gallery that was located in the front of the main house is currently closed but we are busy working on environmental videos...
