Close to trails, Santander Arena, Sovereign Performing Arts Center, Alvernia, Albright. Walking distance to Leiderkranz and Stokesay. I’m on a mountain in a 221 year old stone farmhouse. 5 minutes to Reading, 12 minutes to Reading Hospital and West Reading! Close to the city, but feels like country! Feel free to chill out in the gardens! This is a quirkily furnished, liberal gay household with an edgy art collection! This listing is for a double bed in the White Room at the top of the house. The White Room is a serene space at the top of the house that has air-conditioning (and heat in winter). It’s very quiet here and the stars are beautiful! My house was built in 1799 by German immigrants. It WAS a 320 acre angora sheep farm, now it’s a 1.5 acre farmette! The barn, root cellar, chicken coop, and the ruins of an old blacksmith shop still remain! It is furnished very ecclecticly and has a fabulously weird art collection. There is a movie room with a 110” screen and surround sound! There is WIFI throughout the house. As this is a 221 year old stone farmhouse, partially heated with wood, if you have a problem with dust, I suggest you look elsewhere. It also has steep old stone farmhouse steps! No kitchen access, but a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot are available! I tend to let people to their own devices, but I am friendly, and always willing to answer questions and help. I am on top of Mt Penn near Stokesay and the Pagoda. I am about 5 minutes from the city, but it is quiet and woodsy. No public transit. Parking available. Uber and Lyft friendly. No pets allowed in this room. It’s white!
