Your sweet farmhouse in the country is waiting for you! The 1780 storybook farmhouse features many of the original details and has been lovingly restored - hand hewn beams, wide plank pine floors and farmhouse sink. Curl up in front of the wood stove with a slice of pie baked from your own fruit trees (pear, apple, peach, cherry, plum) and berries (blackberry, raspberry) The home is located on a quiet rural road in the town of Shawangunk, with a winery and 400 acre farm next door. The property includes a pond, firepit, fruit trees with peace and quite away from the city. You may see the occasional deer in the pasture with your morning cup of coffee/tea. Beacon (25 mins) New Paltz (20 mins) Storm King (40 mins) and Minnewaska State Park (15 mins) Parking is not an issue on street or drive way. It's a 240 year old, 2 bed 1 bath farm house, it has it's quirks, but that's the fun of it! There are a couple low head height conditions at the stairs and the kitchen. Friends that are 6'-2" will have an occasional duck moment. The primary heat source is the wood stove, with radiant heating to prevent freezing pipes. We keep wood for you just outside the kitchen on the covered porch.
