Langber Farm dates back seven hundred years, making it one of the oldest properties in the area, boasting historical features that are still present inside the house. Surrounded by open Countryside, yet only six minutes from a major supermarket. Supported by a number of fine country pubs and restaurants, should you not wish to cook each day but instead indulge in some gastro pub food. Standing adjacent to the Pennine Way with miles and miles of walks to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle. The house is equipped with two kitchens, one with an Aga whilst the other has been designed for entertaining - leading out onto the patio with enough seating to accommodate all guests. The location offers you complete privacy and tranquility……the only noise you will hear will be from your guests or your helicopter should you wish to celebrate that special occasion. The accommodation is spread over two floors, with the living space on the ground floor and the bedrooms to the first floor. Master Bedroom with en-suite, three more bedrooms with en-suite , two further bedrooms that share a bathroom ……3 x Bathtubs, 2 x Showers. Two bedrooms have a mezzanine floor which can accommodate a double bed and three single beds ******************************************************************************** PLEASE NOTE 6 x double beds ….4 x single Beds ( either adults or children ) …..and 1 infant cot. Maximum numbers 16 x Adults / Children Combined ******************************************************************************** Hardwood logs are supplied for the open fire…..this must be guarded when lit. Outside ———- There is a purpose built Gym together with a four person Sauna…and a six/seven person Hot Tub. Either myself or my husband are at the end of a telephone and will be staying locally should any problems arise. The nearest neighbour is 1/3 of a mile away and cannot be seen from the house. Thornton in Craven is very accommodating for avid walkers. In the surrounding hamlets/villages there are many beautiful walks that are a perfect fit for families and mountain bikers. The nearest town is the historic market town of Skipton, a ten minute drive away, “the gateway to the Yorkshire dales” it has been dubbed by tourists. It boasts, organic, sustainably sourced food from many local businesses, the most renowned is Keelham Farm Shop. 20 minutes drive to the west is one where you’ll find yourself in the heart of Lancashire and in near sight is Pendle Hill, notorious for it’s medieval history and witchcraft. The pretty hamlet of Wycoller lies 7 miles away , this sleeping village now forms part of a beautiful country park, perfect for a picnic with the family. Ten minutes beyond Wycoller is that of a beautiful town called Haworth, it is one of Yorkshire’s most famous villages and attracts visitors from all over the world, all year round. With quaint cobbled streets, quirky, bohemian shops and a host of eatery’s and watering holes. The Bronte Parsonage museum in Haworth, is the house where the inspirational Bronte family lived. Langber Farm lends itself to a car as being the best method of getting around. The house is situated approximately one mile from the main road along a private track. Safety We cannot express this enough. Please, please keep a close eye on your children / infants. There are a number of hazards around the farm, from stone steps, 2x streams, pond, steep drop etc. Our aim is for your stay to be an enjoyable one with great memories.
