Located on a fresh water inland lake in Byron Center and only a short drive from downtown Grand Rapids, this newly renovated lake house is the perfect waterfront getaway for any individual or couple. The lake offers magnificent views & provides the perfect environment for relaxation and fun. Although you'll feel tucked away, the house is conveniently located by all highways for quick access to the city, although you may decide you never want to leave! Guests will have access to the entire lower level of the house and property, which includes a large living space, a full private bathroom, large guest bedroom(king bed) and a lower level garage where workout equipment and a fridge can be utilized. There are air mattresses(2 twin, 1 queen) and additional pillows and sheets to enable up to 6 people to stay. Grab a cup of coffee or a cold drink and enjoy the beautiful backyard waterfront with any of the seating options (outdoor dining table, Adirondacks, dock or reclining chaise lounges). Guests will also have access to the kayaks, paddleboard or paddleboat for their stay for $20/day. Additionally, in the garage you will find yard games and workout equipment(weights, bowflex, spinning bike and elliptical) to enjoy during your stay. Or, you may choose to just relax on your vacation and simply enjoy the sound of the waves. Indoor, cozy up on the couch with a book, to watch a movie or take a nap. The space also provides a pool table or piano for your enjoyment. There's so much to do in this space alone, but don't forget to check out the guidebook for then endless options outside of the lake house in Byron Center & Grand Rapids. For their convenience, basics are provided, including shampoo, conditioner and body soap as well as coffee, coffee pot(Keurig), cream, sugar and drinkware. For those enjoying the water, life vests are provided as well as towels, sunscreen and beach toys. The space is accessible via the lower door at the back of the house. Guests may park on the street or (in the summer) drive right down the side driveway to the lower level of the house to park closest to the entry. Dave is the owner of the property, however Alli & Freddy (daughter and son-in-law to Dave) are the main hosts who will support you during your stay. We don't live far, so are available as needed in person, but always available via Airbnb message or by phone (call or text). This is a quiet & safe family neighborhood, located conveniently near highways and necessary shopping outlets. There are plenty of sidewalks and lights for walking at any time of day. Parking on the street is easy and always available. There is lots to do on & near the property within minutes, and Grand Rapids is only a 15 minute drive away. This property is approximately 15 minutes away from the airport as well and Ubers/Lyfts are very reasonably priced options for getting around if you do not have a rental or your own vehicle. Due to liability purposes, guests will not have access to the motorized water vehicles.
