Nestled in the Similkemeen valley, surrounded by mountains, in the organic capital of Canada; this quaint farm offers lots of fun outdoor activities. There are wine tours, hiking, fishing, "Nature's Trust" an observatory and river rafting, all nearby. The local town has several restaurants and a pub. The loft is cozy with a king size bed, private ensuite, a small sitting/reading area and an outdoor balcony, with views. (European styled with crisp, clean linens.) Ideal for a romantic get away. Adjacent is the mezzanine. Games area with a heater/table to play on. Reading material is also available. It looks down onto the living and dining areas. The main floor is approx. 1750 sq ft. An elegant entrance hallway leads past the guest room (dbl bed) to a glorious greek styled bathroom. Spacious with double vanity and a tub that fit two (5'6"). The linen closet holds spare toiletries, lots of towels, a laundry basket, steam iron, hair dryer, medical kit, etc. The main kitchen is horseshoe shaped, well stocked with cooking needs. Large fridge, dishwasher, microwave and has an open concept. Great for several cooks at once. The dining room can seat 6 or 8 (2 leafs), and has a bar cabinet. Beside it the sliding doors take you out onto a wrap around balcony; with BBQ, outdoor dining tables and a shade canopy. Mountain views, hay fields, local wildlife and farm animals. The living room is furnished country style (but has TV, DVD's +player, X-Box). The 1905 wood burning stove is visually beautiful but is functional. (Wood piles are out back). The home is wheelchair accessable from the NE side of the house. Gates will be open, with ample parking. Large, wide steps up to the main front door. The front entrance has a coat room. Guests can use all the main floor amenities. Pet friendly, pot friendly, kids welcome and this home is wheel chair accessable. Please be advised that the hostess dwells in the lowest portion of the house. A manual of services and options is available in the unit. Acting as a concierge, your hostess is here to assist with any needs to make your stay more enjoyable. The house landline is for local calls only. Pet friendly, pot friendly and a scooter is available for mobility challenged persons. With its own mini micro climate, we enjoy excellent weather. it can be so quiet here that you hear the flapping of a birds wings. The night it is very dark, so the stars are very bright, yet peaceful: with a small skyline view of lights on the upper bench. The best way to get around is the car. Bikes are great for the dyke and to get to town. There is only one bus in & out of town daily, and no taxi service at this time. A chef is available to cook that special meal.
