Welcome to Southern Stars coastal farm stay. Dog & Horse friendly! Enjoy the best of both worlds. This stunning home is situated on 157 luscious acres in a small pocket of paradise. A quick 2 hours drive north of Sydney and only 15 minutes from pristine beaches, shops & cafes, you'll be sure to experience the best of both rural and coastal living. Bring your canoe/kayak and enjoy the large private dam, see and photograph native birds, kangaroos and if you are lucky... maybe even a koala. THE HOUSE Please note that this is NOT a Party House. Southern Stars Farm is nestled in a quiet rural area where the native animals and neighbours share the peace & quiet. The residence is perched overlooking a large clear water dam, capturing the outlook and coastal breeze. Consisting of 4 generous bedrooms, 2 ½ bathrooms, laundry, games room, formal and informal dinning areas complimented with Bluegum timber flooring throughout the living areas whilst the bedrooms are carpeted and include ceiling fans in every room. Entertaining is a breeze with multiple choices both inside and out. Glass French doors connect all bedrooms to the wraparound outdoor deck where sunlounges, an outdoor dining table and Webber (Family Q) BBQ await. A privacy door easily separates the formal and informal entertaining areas, equipped with TVs, (Wifi) and boardgames. In the cooler months, enjoy a wine around the large combustion fireplace while heating the entire house or have a game of Pool. Cook up a storm in the modern kitchen which includes a 6 burner gas cooktop, oven, microwave, rice cooker, fridge, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine (8 pods supplied), kettle and toaster. Staples will be provided such as cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar and paper towel, alfoil, glad wrap and baking paper. We operate a ‘revolving pantry’ allowing guests to leave behind unopened pantry items for future guests to enjoy. All bed sheets, doonas, blankets and bath towels are supplied for your stay and included in the price. For longer stays, the laundry can be used (BYO detergent). Well maintained gardens, lawns and paddocks, overlooked from the wraparound deck is the perfect place to relax or play. A short stroll between horse paddocks is access to a large clear water dam, perfect for birdwatching or swimming (in the warmer months). Horse owners will enjoy access to 5 fully fenced paddocks, an Olympic size arena and a fenced round yard plus a lockable timber lined tack room. Dog owners will enjoy a secure full functioning kennel with a large grassy run, separate shelters and water misters adjacent to the main residence. Grab a handful of hay and feed the friendly goats or stroll through the orchard collecting fruit while gazing for cattle & kangaroos. Tea Gardens is an easy 15 minute drive for Coles, Bottlo, chemist, bakery, butcher and a family friendly pub. For a bigger shop, Raymond Terrace is (20 minutes south), Newcastle CBD (45 minutes south) or catch the ferry from Hawks Nest over to Port Stephens for the day. An external storage area underneath the deck will be locked off to guest. This is where all cleaning equipment is kept. Please note that all the two farm equipment sheds are strictly off limits.
