Homewood Haven is located 17 miles south of Branson MO., 13 miles south of Table Rock Lake, 10 miles south of Bull Shoals Lake, and 34 miles north of Buffalo River. 31 miles from Eureka Springs. Homewood Haven is a 30-acre private residence with closed-in access. Nature abounds with wild birds, deer, and other wildlife. Enjoy our walking path SHADY LANE (which starts right by the chicken coop) to the back of the property with many border trees over 150 years old. Ruth and JP, Homewood Haven Hosts, live on site in the main house above the Airbnb. The Airbnb space is a guest suite of the house. It is an apartment/walk-out basement. JP and Ruth are on site and live in the main house above the Airbnb. Because it is all one home, you can hear us moving about, as our kitchen is above the Airbnb. We are available to meet any need you may have, but our guests have absolute privacy, coming and going with a completely private entrance and no shared spaces. The spa is for guest use only. The Airbnb space has a kitchenette with supplies that are listed in the amenities description, but there is not a stove. If desired, we invite folks to come up to the main house to use our stove. We provide many things to cook with in the guest suite kitchenette. Every season brings a different type of beauty and natural magic to Homewood Haven. Winter is cozy and an exceptional time to use the spa. Springtime is absolutely stunning with fruit trees blossoming, and the rain brings out the green! Springtime also brings many beautiful birds that are migrating, esp the Month of April. Summer is the perfect time to head on out to Table Rock Lake or Bull Shores or Buffalo River, etc. There are many choices locally for water sports . Head on back to Homewood Haven to enjoy the spa and enjoy the show the firefles put on every evening. Late June or early July wild blackberries are bountiful and ready to be picked and enjoyed. Also, enjoy some tomatoes and or cucumbers from our garden or whatever we are growing!! Fall brings the colors of the Ozarks right to Homewood Haven and the cooler temps too!! Fall is spectacular with the colors of trees changing and temps cooling down. Throughout the year, Homewood Haven is an ideal place to bird watch, as many different birds enjoy the many trees and abundant food available to them. Private entrance and closed-off-from-rest-of-the-house Airbnb space. Also, feel free to explore the property and enjoy the sights. We recommend that you use the provided walking sticks, as the property can be rocky. Enjoy a walk up and down the dirt road. You never know what kind of rock or leaf you may find to keep as a treasure. Be sure to visit the space with the cedar swing. Also be sure to explore the path we call Shady Lane. Use the walking stick and explore a major portion of the 30- acre property that Shady Lane leads to. The Airbnb space is part of our home, as it is an apartment/basement build. It is private; however, it is likely that you will be able to here us coming and going now and then. We are the caretakers of the Airbnb and are here if you need us. Feel free to use the Airbnb messaging feature to contact us with any questions you may have. Ruth We have a general store two miles away, and a Dollar General is two miles away. Also, The Diner in town serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Wild Bill's gas station and liquor store 4.5 miles north. Also, Roberson's Orchard produce stand is two miles away...open seasonally. Small-town environment with easy access to Highway 65 north and south. Just a quick drive up or down a quarter-mile dirt road to get to Homewood Haven and or Highway 14 east or west. Just minutes from Big Cedar Lodge and Top Of The Rock both with very nice dining available. There is a more- casual option at Devil's Pool restaurant at Big Cedar and a more- formal option at Osage restaurant at Top Of The Rock. Reservations Highly recommended. In Omaha just a few minutes from Homewood Haven, Is Charlie's Cafe casual dining that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Charlie's almost always has homemade pies and cakes too!!
