Idyllic + cosy Suffolk countryside vegan getaway

Spend the night in a former war-time artist Anna Zinkeisen’s ‘Studio’ on the grounds of a 16th century cottage, set on half an acre. A cosy, peaceful, restful vegan retreat, surrounded by field views, set deep in the middle of the beautiful Suffolk countryside. A beautiful sunny one-bedroom former art Studio (the renovated annex to a 16th century cottage), set in the middle of the beautiful Suffolk countryside. There is a good sized living room (with a double sofa bed), newly remodelled kitchen (containing an oven, toaster, kettle, microwave, and fridge/freezer), downstairs shower room, and upstairs a bedroom with a separate dressing room with toilet and sink. The bedroom has a double bed with a Silentnight memory foam topped mattress, with memory foam pillows and Egyptian cotton sheets. There is also in the SAME room a day-bed with trundle to provide either two single beds or together as another large double bed. So altogether a potential to have 3 double beds, or 2 double and 2 single. Fresh towels are provided. Comfortably sleeps 4-5, or 6 max if you don't mind being a little cosy. A delicious selection of breakfast foods are provided upon your arrival; a variety of cereals, baked goods, jams, fruit juice, oat milk, and a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. Any special dietary requirements (e.g. gluten free) or special requests, please let me know when you book and I will be more than happy to cater for you! :) We cater specifically for vegans, as we are vegan ourselves, and kindly ask you not to cook meat in our home. Thank you :) I may even treat you to some of my infamous homemade chocolate chip cookies! It is very private and secluded. It's very quiet here. Normally the only thing you'll hear is the wildlife in the garden, the odd tractor passing by (we are in the middle of the countryside after all!) or the hum of the pylons when there's moisture in the air. The Studio has WIFI. We have Unlimited Sky Fibre and have placed an extender in the Studio so you can browse to your hearts content :) We interact as little or as much as you like. We are always about, and happy to help with anything. There is also a ‘welcome pack’ with local information in the Studio, packed with lots of useful stuff! In the heart of the Suffolk countryside. * Please be aware of the secludedness of the Studio. * We really are in the middle of the countryside, surrounded entirely by fields for miles. The closest real village, Grundisburgh (which has a lovely pub called ‘The Dog’, a grocers, post office, deli and cafe, and a hardware store) is 1 mile away. But we are a short drive from many popular sites, including Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge, Rendlesham Forest (great place for walks and bike rides), Orford, Framlingham, a very pretty market town, with a lovely castle, and the lovely seaside town of Aldeburgh; all within half an hour of The Studio. We are 10 miles from Ipswich, and just under 6 miles from Woodbridge. The nearest bus stop is just one mile away in the village of Grundisburgh. The closest train station is just 6 miles away in Woodbridge (we can arrange to pick you up, etc). We are just 3 miles from the A12, making travelling easy, especially from London! There are also plenty of footpaths for walks through the countryside. I am flexible about check-in times, please just ask! :) Check out time is flexible too, sleep in til late to make the most of the peace and quiet! LGBTQ friendly :) it’s a totally safe zone here for everyone. Pet friendly - small well behaved dogs are welcome (but must be kept on lead in garden as we have cats!), and please wipe their muddy paws before letting them in. Please be aware that the Studio is within close proximity of two pylons, whom we have named Bill and Ben. We like to think of them as our very own Suffolk Eiffel Towers! ;) The cables do give off a small humming noise if it's foggy/raining, but most of the time they are completely silent. Don't let them put you off :) but if pylons really bother you, please don't stay with us, as they are visible from the Studio windows. Thank you!
