Charming bungalow with uninterrupted scenic views
Pretty whitewashed bungalow (privately owned) on the beautiful Plas Talgarth Estate. Uninterrupted mountain views and yet just over 10 minutes drive to the wonderful sandy beaches of Aberdovey. Situated on the Wales Coast Path, you can walk or cycle for miles right from the front door. Whether you like fields, woods, hills, streams, rivers or forest trails, the choice is yours! Fabulous restaurant 15 mins stroll in the village called The Riverside and cosy farmhouse bar on site. Dog friendly. Spacious 2 bedroomed bungalow. Lawn to the front with patio/patio furniture making the most of it’s slightly elevated position and scenic views Guests at the bungalow can have shared access to the onsite resort facilities just a 5 min stroll up the lane to the old mansion house where there are swimming pools (heated indoor and outdoor), a gym, use of onsite spa (treatments obviously chargeable and to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment). There is also a steam room, sauna & jacuzzi, children’s play area and a pitch and putt course. There may be a small charge at reception for some of these facilities. NOTE: The availability of these facilities may alter at any time at the discretion of the resort manager. Use of the facilities do not form any part of the contract with guests and, as such, no charge is included in the rental of the bungalow to use the onsite resort facilities offered. Small and cosy farmhouse bar on the resort also. I’m always available either by email, phone or text and will aim to get back to you within the hour. The bungalow is situated in Pennal, Gwynedd. In the village, there is a lovely pub/restaurant only 10 mins walk from the house called The Riverside. Machynlleth is 4 miles away, is an historic old market town and used to be the capital of Wales. Fab Co-op there at the top of the High St (also a smaller one by the railway station). Numerous shops & cafes there. Award winning Fish & Chip shop, Henighan’s. Aberdovey just over 10 mins has fab beaches, lovely array of shops, restaurants, cafes and an ice cream from the Aberdovey ice cream shop is a must! Car is best for exploring the beautiful area all around. Plenty of days out both locally and further afield - beautiful sandy beaches, forests, castles, scenic railways, mountains to explore - spoilt for choice! Walk/cycle for miles right from the front door There is a leisure centre in nearby Machynlleth with an indoor pool with flume, badminton courts. Excellent clay pigeon shooting facility near to Machynlleth also. Pony trekking also available. Paddle boarding sessions available in Aberdovey. White water rafting together with canyoning (if you’re feeling brave!) has also proved very popular with our guests at the National Whitewater Centre nr Bala, 50 mins drive away. The amazing Zip World is also very popular with our guests and is currently the worlds fastest zip line, Velocity 2, together with Bounce Below & the caverns are just an hour’s scenic drive away at Blaenau Festiniog. The above are just a few of the many activities that are available in the area.
