This is a Big Family Compound which sleeps 20+ adults. Situated on 200 ft of waterfront on beautiful clean quiet Clear Lake, it is perfect for one big family or maybe two. The Lake House is a large four bedroom home with all the modern amenities. The Oak is a two bedroom cottage right at the water. The Acorn, Seedling and Bunkie are smaller one bedroom cabins, all beautifully decorated in Old Muskoka style. There are two docks, a fire pit for s’mores and water toys for all in the Boathouse. Clear Lake is a family-oriented lake with clean clear spring water perfect for canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding and tubing. It is an ideal spot for children, young and old, to experience life in and on the water. If you are looking for a spot to party this lake is too small and quiet for you. A little bit more about our property: We have two properties located next door to one another and this listing is for the whole compound. The Lake House and Bunkie, plus The Oak Cottage, Acorn Cottage and Seedling Bunkie, a Boathouse and 200' of private waterfront on Clear Lake. The LAKE HOUSE is a large Post + Beam home with open concept Kitchen, Dining and Living Room and a screened Muskoka Room. It has one king and three queen bedrooms, two 4-piece Bathrooms plus a Powder Room, a Laundry Room and Loft with Billiard Table. The OAK Cottage has a Kitchen/Dining and Living Room, two Bedrooms and one 2-piece Bathroom plus a Shower Room and large screened Muskoka Room. There is a queen sofa bed in the OAK living room. The ACORN Cottage has a queen Bedroom plus a Living Room with a double sofa bed and a 3-piece Bathroom. The SEEDLING Cottage is one Bedroom with a double bed and shares the ACORN Bathroom. The BUNKIE just outside the main door of the LAKE HOUSE is a one bedroom with three bunk beds and the best lake views anywhere! Plus there is a single slip BOATHOUSE filled with goodies. The LAKE HOUSE kitchen is a chef's dream with a Garland Gas Range, Subzero refrigerator, DW, microwave and a separate Utility Room with Washer and Dryer and Beverage fridge. It is fully equipped including KitchenAid mixer, Cuisinart, Nespresso, SodaStream, slow cooker, sandwich maker, Ninja blender and coffee machines. There is a propane BarBQ on both the Lake House and Oak decks. An open FIRE PIT is near the Acorn plus there a propane FIRE PIT on the Lake House Deck. The OAK kitchen is a fully equipped cottage kitchen. It has a fridge, electric range, microwave, and wonderful lake views even while washing your dishes! There is Washer/Dryer in the OAK Shower Room as well. There is second propane BarBQ on the Oak deck. The two kitchens and multiple dining tables both indoors and out allow for feeding a large crowd. We leave cooking essentials in the cupboards and fridges for you to use during your stay but ask that you please replenish what you finish so the next cook doesn't get caught with no olive oil! The LAKE HOUSE has a flat screen TV in the Living Room and the Master Bedroom. The OAK Cottage has a smaller flat screen TV in the Living Room. All have Bell Expressvu Satellite TV. WIFI is available throughout the property. Blankets, mattress covers, pillows, quilts, bath and beach towels are included the rental. Please note that guests supply their own sheets and pillowcases. A list of bed sizes can be seen in the room descriptions. There are two docks and a boathouse and you have access to 3 canoes, 3 paddle boards, a paddleboat, a kayak, two swim docks, a Lily Pad and many floaties and water toys. We have a large selection of life jackets and can verify that we have what you require if you ask. We also have a Fire Pit for night time camp fires (except during High Fire Danger periods as dictated by the Fire Marshall), a sandbox with toys, a hammock, and lots of games and toys for rainy days. A complete information package will be sent prior to arrival. Guests are encouraged to report any problems as soon as possible so that we may take steps to remedy where possible. We are however, living with nature and occasionally rain, winds, red squirrels, bears, ants, weird insects and mosquitos emerge to remind us that we are the visitors. Please be tolerant and know that we will fix what we can and as soon as we can. For those of you reading the one negative review we have EVER received please know that this unusual group made a claim to Airbnb that was investigated and was dismissed by Airbnb. Enough said. Torrance is a small community between Gravenhurst and Bala off Hwy. 169. Clear Lake Brewing CO. and The Cottage Restaurant are walking distance. Bala, just a few kilometres up the road, has a Foodmart, Don's Bakery, an LCBO, The Beer Store, The Cottage Butcher, Ice Cream Dreams, Bala Bay Take-Away, Jack and Stellas, plus many sweet gift stores and restaurants. Guests must be OVER 30 YEARS OF AGE to rent this property Jet skis, speedboats, loud parties and events are not permitted. This is a NON-SMOKING property. We are living with nature! There are rocks, roots, steep paths, granite steps and sometimes chipmunks and insects will get inside. They will not hurt you but not caring for garbage and debris will as it will attract bears. Please be mindful. Check in is 4:00 PM. There is a lockbox for key access. Check out is by 10:00 AM to allow preparations for the next guest. We welcome well-behaved pets but ask that they please stay off the furniture.
